{Andrew's Point of View}
I sat in the car as I looked up from my car. I can see the light of Rosabel's house lit up.
I sighed as I realized that she had reached home safely. I never knew why I cared about the lady so much. Maybe it was the first time that someone had talked to me so naturally.
Now that I think, it was a harsh decision to request her to be my girlfriend even though it was just in name. I would not have done it normally.
Although my parents have always been forcing me to bring my lover back, I have never taken those words seriously. Maybe because I knew that no matter who I went there with, the girl would always be greedy and try to create a real relationship with me.
But why with Rosabel I do not fear it. I think she will try to avoid me in the future. Rosabel McCarthy. She was a hardworking lady in the company. And after knowing how badly she was treated I wanted to give a helping hand even though I knew it was unnecessary.
"Master." The driver said bringing me back to reality.
"Yes, let's go home," I said as I took one last look at the building. The changing lights gave me a sense of comfort.
"Master, are you really going to date, Miss Rosabel?" My driver asked. He was not that young, maybe in his early fifties but he was loyal to my family.
"Yes. Why don't you like her?" I asked as I raised my eyebrows. I knew that he cannot see me fully but after knowing me for so long, he knew the meaning of my words.
"No. I just feel that the lady is too innocent to be dragged into all of this." His words were small, "She is small and I can tell you, if she gets entangled in your situation it would be hard on her."
"Do you think I am playing with her?" I asked in a low tone. I wasn't angry with him but I was a little disappointed. Why was everyone telling Rosabel to stay away from me? First, it was Jane and now him. Although he did not tell Rosabel but asked me indirectly. I was getting more interested in the lady now.
"I am not, master. But even Miss Jane is worried." His tone was low as if he realized that he said something he shouldn't have said.
"Jane called you?" I asked in a dangerously low tone. "She sure has many opinions? I heard that she gossips around people regarding me in the company."
"Miss Jane doesn't want to be discovered. So she talks with others as if she doesn't know you." he looked back for a split second, "But the master was never worried about that, so why suddenly…"
I did not reply to his words. There was no reason for me to reply. I knew that Jane wanted to be part of the company so she was all excited and talked about the new president taking over. She also gossiped about the higher ups and the unjust workload.
'But why did she have to talk about me to Rosabel. If Jane had nothing good to say she should have just closed her mouth.' I ran my hand over my hair as I sighed in frustration.
Sometimes I cannot understand my cousin. How can she be related to my mother but then again my mother and her sister are mischievous so it is logical that Jane would be too. If only Aunty would have controlled her daughter and mother would keep her niece in check.
I looked outside before I closed my eyes. The first thing is getting Rosabel to agree to the condition. Although it was not necessary, I felt it was fun playing with her. I want to be around her.
—----
"Why did you shift here?" It was the annoying tone of my cousin who was standing near my door.
"Why are you here Jane?" I asked as I shook my head. I was about to get a headache, I rubbed my forehead as I opened the door.
"You do not know why I am here?" Jane followed me, "You were never this dumb."
"But you were always this annoying," I said as I removed my shoes and walked towards the couch. "So tell me the reason for this late trip."
I could see the irritation and anger in Jane's eyes. She was getting annoyed and I could tell a bulk of words were coming my way.
"Don't get all wordy with me. I will tell you something now itself, stay away from Rosabel. She is a sweet lady. I do not want her to suffer."
A smile formed on my face. My cousin really cared for this Rosabel. My interest was getting heightened. "You care for her? Was it a reason why you advised her to stay away from me??
Jane's eyes widened. I could feel her tone shiver. "How did you know…"
"How do I know?" I laughed but my eyes sharpened, "Jane let me tell you something now, don't come in between what I do."
"Are you interested in Rosabel?" Jane asked as she moved towards me, "If you are not then don't play with her. Trust me I will not leave you if you hurt her in any way."
"You are close to her. You don't usually make such good friends at such short notice." I looked at Jane as I moved a little forward. "You are too overprotective of her, Jane. Why?"
"My friendship has nothing to do with you. I don't know what you are doing but don't hurt her Andrew." Jane folded her hand as if trying to make an impression. "Take it as a warning."
Jane looked dead in my eyes as she left my house with a loud bang. I looked at the closed door with a smile on my face.
Soon my phone vibrated, I looked down and saw a message on it from the very lady who was loved by all, [Let's do it.]
I laughed, "Yes, Let's do it."
