Chapter 2 - Chapter 2.1 Demyx

"Wait are you one of those systems? The ones in books."

"Yes and you may call me Demyx. "

------

"Does that mean I am going to be reborn into another world? One that is not as boring as this one I hope." Liam asked after hearing Demyx explain, it almost felt like a dream like some God heard his wish and decided to fulfil it.

Demyx was not expecting that reaction according to the guide given to him by Geron, it's host should be scared, shocked or something like that not happy. It pondered on how to deal with this human as the guide didn't mention what to do if the human was happy.

"Yes you are. You chose it yourself in the library." Demyx replied still very patient. It was surprised but got over it fast. Although it had emotions as a high level system but it was still a machine at the end of the day.

"Wait you mean the book I just finished reading?" Liam was a little confused. He finally started finding what was going on, a little odd. Just a little, he was still very happy.

"Yes."

"But why? Didn't the world get destroyed in that one? *gasp* Don't tell me you are transmigrating me just to kill me?" Liam was horrified. Don't ask him why he thought that cause he has no freaking idea. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

He was just very happy, otherwise normally he could figure out what was going on rather quickly.

"Of course not. Why would I waste my precious time like that? That is your mission by the way, to stop that world from getting destroyed." Okay Demyx's patience was ending. It's not his fault, it has just been a while since he had dealt with humans. He was on a break.

"That sounds fun. So tell me who I will be and everything else." He asked finally toning down his excitement. Finally he was leaving this stupid world. He felt a little sorry for his family but he had like three brothers they won't even feel he was missing. And they hadn't talked to each other much after that accident.

"As I was saying. I don't like giving long speeches so I will tell you a short version. You'll find out everything when you get there anyways. Your name will remain the same Liam. You are to be born a dragon, you can choose what kind though. And how you will look. You have read the book so you know about the background and all that. I will be there to guide you and will probably take the disguise of some sort of animal since I don't like talking and I will not have to interact with anyone." Demyx stopped for a sec to let Liam absorb then started again.

"Other then your main mission, there will be other missions to save some people. They will be able to help you stop the disaster. Anyways that's basically it. Now you can decide the stats etc."

Demyx was mostly satisfied with his host. Usually they would start crying and begging to send them back home, it was exhausting to console them, not to mention that it was not made for this kind of thing. Consuling humans was not something it was good at and it annoyed him quite a bit.

He wished he could be as heartless as Geron and just remove most of their memories. The next time he was upgraded he would ask for less emotions he pondered.

Liam recalled about the world so that he could make better choices. The world in the book was full of mythical creatures, there were humans too though. It also had Omegaversive genre so, there were three sub-genders. Alpha, Beta and Omega.

There progress in technology was different from his world because there was magic. Humans were the most progressed in this regard since their magic was weak.

The ML was a prince and a golden dragon. There were not many dragons though. The most powerful ones were void or time dragons but he didn't want to be one. Sure they were powerful and all that but because of what happens later in the book he decided to go for a less powerful dragon race. Cloud dragon race.

They weren't the most powerful but they were not weak. They were nearly extinct in the novel. But what he liked about them was that they were like wolves and lived together. That was the reason why they were so feared because killing one of them meant becoming the enemy of the whole clan.

In a world with so many powerful creatures, it was better to have a clan to back you up. Cloud dragons were the only dragons other than the golden dragons who lived together. Because dragons were so prideful they couldn't stand other people in their territory. Even the golden dragons were not that harmonious.

After thinking all that he was excited. He wondered about the people he would be asked to save. To be honest when he was reading the book, there were a few cannon fodders he felt bad for. Maybe he would get to save them.

-------------------

This was the second time in an hour they met that his host was day dreaming and ignoring him. *Sigh* It really was unlucky. Although he didn't cry, his host really loved daydreaming. After lamenting his luck and wondering when he'd be able to upgrade that, he coughed to wake up his day dreaming host. And asked;

"Are you ready to choose your stats? Cause we can't stay here forever."

After all that thinking Liam was much calmer and nodded.

Ding!!

A screen appeared before his eyes.

[Dragon Race.....]

"Just think the answer." Demyx said helpfully.

Ding!!

[Stats]

[Cloud Dragon]

With an annoying ding another screen appeared before him.

[Choose your stats]

[Hair Color...]

[Eye Color...]

[Skin Tone] [Ivory/ can't be changed]

[Height] [6'2/ can't be changed]

[Features][Good looking/ can't be changed]

[Race Personality Trait:

[Prideful] [Short temper] [Harsh]

[Genital:

[1] [2]

[Sexuality...]

[Sub-gender:

[Alpha][Beta][Omega]

[Done]]

Liam read the screen (and turned a little red at the genital thing (。・//ε//・。)). The stats were according to his expectations. If he wasn't wrong the ones that couldn't be changed were, specific to his race. Dragons as a race favored by the heavens were really good looking in human form, at least that was what was written in the book.

"You need to choose one of the options, where there are more than one. Races all have traits unique to them you'll need to choose one. Don't worry as you complete missions you can ask to change somethings if you get enough points." Demyx told him and also confirmed he was right about the can't be changed stuff.

"Some of your stats are already filled based on your class Cloud Dragon. You can fill the rest by the same method as before."

"Well it was time to decide who he was going to be." He thought. "Thankfully if there's something I'm good at it will definitely be this. I haven't read all those system novels in vain."

He kinda read them in hope that someday he would really have an encounter with a system. He knew it was childish but wasn't it turning out to be helpful.
