Nolan leaned backwards as it missed him by a thread. He zapped across the room and landed on the other side. His face changed into something demonic. His claws grew, and he hissed at them.
Damien Cahill drew his sword and brandished it before him. He took an attacking stance, ready as hell to strike. Nolan regarded both of them with a sinister gaze. He couldn't get past the onyx barrier. He needed backup.
Nolan charged at them, clawing and bending away from their strikes expertly. He was as slippery as an eel, even with the Cahills' excellent battle skills.
He shoved his open palms in the air, and a force moved like the wind. He saw the barrier become visible, straining against his powers. Nolan channeled the energy to the floors. He raised the floorboards up, but they'd jumped out of his way just in time.
