At this point, people were freaking out. I mean, how are you supposed to react when you watch a monster eat a live person? The first thing I had to do was find my friends and keep my sister close of course. No way I would be able to get a hold of a weapon. Not in school at least.
"FELIX! I'M SCARED" Diana screamed as I dragged her along with me. I would be lying if I said I wasn't scared as well. And what was I supposed to say? How do I react to that? 'Oh, it will be okay!' NO! I don't know if it will be okay, I don't know what's even going on for fucks sake!
"FELIX??" She yelled again. I ran up to the top of the school. The roof. It's the only safe place right now. Diana was sobbing at this point.
"Ana..calm down."
"CALM DOWN?? WE JUST SAW A GUY GET EATEN, LIX. EATEN ALIVE!!"
"CALM DOWN! YOUR SCREAMING ISN'T HELPING" I yelled. My eyes widened as she flinched. I felt bad but right now wasn't the time. I pulled out my phone to text Chris. God, all I wanted to do was go home.
"Lix, what are you doing?" Diana asked.
"Telling Chris to come up here"
"Why?"
"You're asking a lot of questions, Ana."
I took a few steps towards the edge of the building and peered over. There seemed to be more of those creatures, and they seemed to be breaking into the school. They weren't like the zombies in movies. They were long, tall, dark creatures. Long, sharp fingers, glowing eyes, sharp pointy teeth. They looked more like shadows.
"FELIX," Chris ran through the doors. "FELIX WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON??"
"Man, really wish I could answer that."
"FELIX...MY FAMILY?? MY SISTER…" tears started to form in Chris' eyes.
"Hey," I walked towards him and put a hand on his shoulder for comfort. "Your family will be okay."
Chris slowly nodded and wiped the tears away.
"Alright. We need a plan."
Just as I was about to open my mouth to speak, someone else walked in.
"Plan?"
