"Plan?" Alisa said as her brother followed closely behind.
"What the hell are you doing here?" I rolled my eyes
"Getting away from whatever the fuck those things are, obviously" Alisa rolled her eyes back
"Wow, you guys are gonna act cocky now? Now out of all times when a whole god damn apocalypse is breaking out?" Her brother said, making a good point. His voice was soft and light. He seems like a guy who couldn't curse if his life depended on it.
"Well, we should stay here. Just wait it out until this is over." I bit down on my nails.
"What? That's stupid. What if we starve? What if those things come up here? That's the worse plan I've ever heard" Alisa crossed her arms and leaned into her hip.
"I agree. It's not the worst like Lis said, but we need supplies if we stay here. Plus, we don't know how long this is going to last. We could be stuck up here for months." Diego said.
"Oh? So what do you say we do, hm?"
"Well.." Alisa took out a pocket knife and held it up. "Let's just hurry this up and end this now?"
"WOAH-" Everyone took a step back. Everyone but Diego.
"LIS? SUICIDE ISN'T AN OPTION" Deigo rolled his eyes as he crossed his arms.
Alisa grinned and put the knife away. "Worth a try."
"You're crazy.." Chris said, hiding behind me.
"You are." I laughed a bit. I'm not sure why I laughed.
"We should just go home and gather supplies," Diana said.
"And then we meet up back here?" Chris suggested.
We all agreed and took off. Diana, Chris, and I traveled together. I noticed that these creatures only attacked when you looked at them. It was hard not to look into their glowing eyes, but we managed not to. It was also hard not to stare at the freshly dead bodies everywhere. I know it sounds weird, but it's hard not to look when a human is being brutally devoured by some unknown creature that came out of nowhere. We finally reached our house.
"Grab a bookbag and back some things." I planned on leaving our house for a while. Find somewhere that's higher up, safer. Of course, I still planned on going to our house for a while but now isn't the right time. I packed a few clothes, cleaning essentials, and of course, weapons.
"Heh, didn't think these would come in handy" I picked up my dad's gun box and picked at the lock. After taking most of the guns and ammo, I remembered about my own family. My dad didn't matter but my mother. She was on a business trip before this happened. I hope she's okay. I ran back downstairs and waited for Ana. Next stop, Chris' home. We headed towards Chris' apartment in a hurry. He must have been really worried about his sister.
"LILLY??" He ran into her room. "She's..she's not here." his voice dropped.
As I was about to comfort him, there was a scream. A high-pitched scream. We followed the sound into the basement and there she was. Little Lilly, being torn up and eaten by the creature. The thing grabbed her by her torso and bit her head right off. Let's just say that the room was now painted in red. Poor girl, she was still so young. Only seven years old.
"STOP!" Chris screamed, tears in his eyes. He was sobbing.
I covered his eyes so he wouldn't look at them.
"THAT'S MY SISTER PLEASE," His voice cracked.
"PLEASE STOP, STOP IT" the thing didn't even finish eating her. Just left with Lilly's body half-eaten. Chris ran up to her, or at least what was left of her. Blood covered him all over as he hugged her remains.
"Chris I-" I started, but I didn't know what to say. How do you respond to someone who had to watch, listen really, to their only sibling being eaten alive?
Chris' POV:
Tears were streaming down my face. I couldn't think straight. Maybe because I'm gay?
