Chapter 6 - CHILDISH MUM

CHAPTER SIX

AUDREY'S POV

Life is very good to us now. We have a good home, mum is getting better, Eben attends one of the most expensive schools in town, Travis, well took a lot of money and left home, while I'm always home doing nothing. The only person who keeps me company is Jasmine, who's going job hunting, she still has her job but wants to add to it.

I'm glad I told her about my working experience and how much I made from it, making her to start searching also.

Well i'm thinking of going back to high school, so that I could continue college.

Thanks to Mr Egocentric, it's a week since my discharge and I haven't set my eyes on him. I was informed that he did all these as compensation. Good things really come in a bad way sometimes. This is too much, at times I wished I could see him and thank him for what he's doing for my family.

I smiled at the tv as I ate the pizza I ordered, when the door bell rang.

"Coming" I said as I ran to get the door. Speaking of the devil.

"Good day." I greeted.

"Where is your mum?"

What! he has not changed? It's so obvious that he's so disrespectful. He can't even reply my greetings. Well thanks to Jasmine tutorials, I've known how to handle situations like this.

"Mtcheew" I hissed walking back to the couch, look at someone I was looking forward to meet is now giving me attitudes.

"Hey! Are you deaf? Can't you hear me? I need to see your mum."

I've been keeping my cool but this is getting out of hand.

"Hey Mr Egocentric, just because you elevated my family from poverty, doesn't give you the right to talk to me anyhow. As you can see, the house is open, you can come and check if she's in, cause right now, I'm busy."

I didn't turn my back till he left. Proud peacock, like who does he think he is?

In fact, I can't wait for mum to come home I need to tell her my mind. Its high time she stop collecting anything from that guy. It seems we're depending on him. I think I'm strong enough to start providing for my family. Such a jerk.

By the way since he stepped his foot into our family mum's behaviour changed drastically, to make matters worst after the successful surgery, She began talking and mingling with strange women. To make make matters worst whenever she's on a call and I walk in, she would immediately end the call.

Mum now lies and hides a lot of things from me. Things has really changed.

Ding Dong, the door bell rang again, while I sluggishly got up to open it.

"Jas!" I screamed happily as I bounced on her, gosh, I've missed her so much.

"How have you been?" I continued.

"I'm fine, can you please let go now, cause I'm choking."

"Oops, I'm sorry. Come in, we've gat a lot of catching up to do."

~~~~
"You're joking! Don't tell me that Mrs Genevieve left."
"She did oh my dear, I didn't here it from the right source, so I don't know how true it is"
"I don't care, I just wanna know."
"Well, we heard that she insulted the managers wife not knowing that she was the one"
" that's so pathetic that job was her life, she valued it so much."
"Have you heard anything concerning the lady I beat up?'
" Well, it's just a week or two since the incident, so we haven't heard any news."
"Mr Egocentric came here." I said with a frown.
"Jeez! Who did you give such a name to? He must have really annoyed you."
"Jeez! It's Mr Fred."
"Awwn, what did you say to him? I hope you weren't rude to him, this one you're calling him Egocentric."
"Don't tell me you're falling for that guy. Well he was rude first, so I decided to give him his medicine."
"Duh, you're weird, who treat a good looking wealthy guy like that? You're so fortunate that you're close to him."
"You're sick." I said. "It seems Fred and mum are hiding something nasty from me."
"Really?"
"Yes. Mum acts really strange whenever I walk in on their discussion."
"Well, it's all for your own good, don't worry about that. Right now we need to focus on you. It's time for you to have a guy in your life."
"What! I wasn't expecting that."
"You should, look at Fred for example, a nice fine guy, you got to shoot your shot if he hasn't."
"What's up with you and that guy? If you like him, go ahead, I'm not interested in that shit, and please can you stop hyping him, after all he isn't the cutest guy." I said remembering my hero that gives me the bumps.
"Oh! You mean your knight in shining armour? Really? You're so funny, but I thought you said you weren't falling for him?"
"I'm not, I'm just trying to prove my point by telling you that he isn't as cute as you say. Alright forget the outward beauty, let's look at inside. By the way, when did you start tutoring your friend on seduction?"
"Well, that's the least of my problem. Gosh I'm so tired I really need to rest." Jas said as she walked into my room, while I couldn't stop thinking of Bennett. During the past few days, my thought has been preoccupied with him.
CLARA'S POV
Its been a week I last saw Fred. I can't wait to see him. I can't wait for our relationship to be cemented again.
I hurriedly packed my clothes and prepared to go to his house, I wanna start living permanently there, he can't stop me from seeing my daughter. It's been a year and 6months I last saw my two year old daughter, She doesn't even recognise me. I was glad I spent some time with her before Fred drove me. I'll make sure I live in the house or else I'd sue him to court and get Eve from him, and that little half thing called Eva is getting lots of attention from Fred. Those attentions are meant for my daughter, I'm gonna make her life so miserable. I can't stand the fact that she looks like her Mum. I don't ever want her close to my daughter. All the privileges she had when I was absent would stop now.
~~~~

"Baby," I said kissing her cheek and was surprised when she burst into tears.

No no no, what's happening? I tried every possible way to calm her down, but she didn't. Thank goodness the door was sound proofed, if it wasn't I know that the guards would have filled here.

To make matters worst, whenever I touched her, the force she used in crying got worst. I looked around me and didn't know what to do at the moment. If she continues she would get a terrible headache. Look at her having a running nose and she wouldn't even let me touch her.

I turned to see 8 year old Eva staring at me. She had been like that since I walked in.

"Hey! Can't you greet? And why are you staring at me like that." Rather than answering my questions she made everything worst.

"Don't you get it? She doesn't want you here." And those words threw me off balance, Saying that she walked up to Eve and immediately she carried her, she stopped crying. Jeez.

"How dare you say that to me, you little witch. You are the one that isn't wanted here."

"Don't you ever come close to my daughter" screaming I took Eve from her.

"But she's my sister."

Eva rasped as she stared at me.

"She isn't your sister, you don't have a sister, go meet your mother in the grave, I know she would gladly welcome you, and then she can give you a sister.

"Dad doesn't even want you here, so just leave and quit causing confusion here. You can't intimidate me in my dad's house.

She said while tears built up in her eyes, making me laugh.
