AUDREY'S POV
I stared at mum dazed at her word, what does she mean? I can't believe she consented to this. I mean she knows how much I dislike that being, why would she do this to me.
"Hello!" Mum said snapping her finger at me.
"Mum, how dare you do that? I barely know that guy, our meeting was just an accident. Its barely 3 weeks and he proposed that to you and you accepted?"
"Come on, baby it's for our own good."
"Our own good you say,. Sometimes I wonder if you're the woman I knew." I said in pain, though I knew she might be hurt, but I don't care.
"You've been acting strange lately. Since I arrived form the hospital."
"I'm sorry, I never knew you wouldn't consent to this, I'm really sorry, I wish I could turn back the hands of time, but you know the deed has already been done. I'm sorry."
"Mum, I hate you." I said as the pain of what I released hit me. The same mother I fought for at the hotel did this to me, wait when did mum start yearning for money like this, this is very strange, and the worst of it is that she had been hiding a lot of things from me lately.
"Hello, Jas." I said over the call as I choked.
"Best friend, are you okay,"
she immediately asked on hearing my voice.
"I'm not, can we meet at the cafe."
"Sure, but why can't I come home."
"Cause I don't want to be there."
"Alright bestie I'm coming, make sure you don't do anything nasty before I get there." She said while I ended the call.
Not less than 10 minute, I saw her running in, what will I do without such a friend.
"Jesus! Audrey, you're a total mess, seriously speaking you're. Look at you, what happened?" She queried as she sat by me.
"Mum sold me out."
"What! I don't get it, your mum sold you out?" The look on her face just killed me.
"Calm down friend, that wasn't what I meant." I said reading her thought.
"Oh! I'm sorry for my thought going that far. I just wondered why your mum would sell you out, so what's the issue? What did she do this time."
"Mum has done her worst, you won't believe if I tell you."
"What's that? I would believe, look at your eyes all puffed from crying, so why wouldn't I?"
"I'm getting married next week."
"What did you say?" "How, why, when and who to? Gosh I don't understand this, I thought you weren't into guys for now." She said while I burst into tears.
"You see all the things Mr Fred had been doing wasn't free. Mum had given me out for marriage without my consent and she has been benefiting as a mother in-law. " I said while Jas burst into laughter.
"Why are you laughing?"
"You don't want me to believe you right? How do you expect me to believe that your mum could do that, is this a prank."
"I hope so" I said wiping my tears.
"Wait oh, babe, you're serious about this oh. Your mum really did that to you?"
"I don't even know what to do."
"It's okay, everything gonna be alright. Just have faith and for the best. If it's a good thing then let the marriage hold, but if it isn't, then it wouldn't take place. Just take it easy dear."
"Thank you, can I spend the night with you?"
"Sure, you can, I wish thus incident didn't occur, we could have so much fun."
"And who said we can't?" I asked as we got up to leave the cafe.
"Yay," Jes squealed in delight.
BENNETT'S POV
I stared at the bitch on my bed, Hmm, gosh the women here are so loose, them throwing their bodies so cheaply is really annoying. I can't help but feel disgusted by their presence.
Someone once said a play boy would always be one, but in my own case, I think that statement is wrong. I don't know why, but I feel so indifferent about it.
I decided to just stick to one for the mean time, and the lucky one, well she feels so lucky to be with me, is the almighty Layla, the lazy lady on my bed. You might be wondering why I choosed her, well I go for the best, the night I had sex with her was extra ordinary, so I decided to make her my sex mistress.
Just a month I arrived earth but I'm popular as the president. All the companies wants to sign
a contract with mine, apart from one though.
Gosh, life on earth is fun and sweet, right now I'm wish I ain't the crown prince of Alvandia, I would have come to live on earth forever, but their are responsibilities.
That reminds me. The CEO OF BLAZE MANUFACTURING COMPANY LIMITED, and I have a meeting with the president of UN. I've heard a lot about that guy, and I can't just wait to see him, he's fucking wealthy. Though we haven't met we are already rivals. I hate to see someone do better than me. I can't stand it and that's what he's doing. I can't wait to see him. I heard his Egocentric and disrespectful, jeez.
A message suddenly came in, I picked up my phone to check, interview is by 10, the first to arrive would get the contract.
"What!" I shrieked as I had planned to use my powers during the interview. How can they do this, no call but a text. I hurriedly ran into the bathroom.
I came out of the bathroom, Jeez, it's 9:25, I really need to hurry, I thought as I dressed up. I check the time again, no no no, it's 9:40, gosh, I might go with my jet because the gridlock is much.
My guards immediately arranged everything, my pilot was contacted and boom we left, not up to seven minute we arrived the company. I can't be a looser, never I said as I hurriedly walked with my guards behind him.
I got into the room to find the president chatting happily with a cool looking guy. Phew I was glad I came in time.
"Good morning sir." I said directing the greetings to the president.
"Welcome Mr Bennett, I guess you haven't met this young man sitter over here."
"Yes sir," I said.
"Alright, Mr Bennett meet Mr Fred the CEO of BLAZE MANUFACTURING. Fred, meet Bennett the CEO OF ALVANDIA'S GOOD FOOD." The president said while we stared at each other in shock. Not the shock of not getting the contract or whatever, but the way we met. I wasn't expecting my rival to look this way. I guess he thought so also. We stared at each other without saying a word.
"Well, for the contract.....
I've planned to share it equally."
"That's nice." We said simultaneously as we stared at each.
"I'd leave you two to know yourselves."
"Don't bother about that." I said while his phone rang immediately.
"I'm in a meeting, what! Alright, I'm on the way." He said with a bothered face.
"Thank you very much Mr president, something important came up, I'd take my leave now." I watched him walk away, he doesn't look like what I've heard from the rumours or was he just pretending?
Well, I have a lot on my hands. I need to leave.
"Thank you sir, I'll take my leave." Bowing I left.
On arriving home, I went straight to my reading room, well because I know how disturbing Layla is. My mind immediately drifted to Alvandia, a day isn't completed but how many are dead, and I don't think the search for the goddess would be an easy one. There are thousands of people on earth, so how do I know, which is the goddess. Picking up my phone I decided to call my investigator if he had seen any lady that looks suspicious or fetish. He has been on it for a week, so he ought to get something.
"Is there any result?" I asked on the phone.
"Yes sir, I've found countless women that dresses and acts the way you described. We've taken them and locked them for questioning, we're just waiting for your orders."
"Alright, I'd be on my way." I said, when I noticed something strange on the ground, I bent closer and found it was a strange necklace, I knew this type of necklace isn't from around Earth, something is wrong, the battle has definitely become stronger.
