Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

January 21, 2020

In frustration, Annah closed her eyes firmly, wanting to shut his annoying voice off her system. But being born just to drive her nuts was Ricco's greatest talent of all.

"What's the matter, Park? Being a mongrel finally done you good?" Ricco hovered just far behind her while she clutched her hair in exasperation. She felt her anger finally coming through all the shield of patience she built just this morning.

"Urgh! Ricco Kwon!" Annah harshly stood up and faced him with a glare. "It's morning and your annoying face is hovering on my bloody business!" Annah shouted.

"Oh, come off you now. Can't really tell when does a mixed-blood would burst. " Ricco clicked his tongue in amusement while his friends behind him were snickering.

"Grow up, Ricco!" Annah said in a growl.

"No need to remind me, mongrel. I'm growing up just fine since I'm a pureblood while you...are sad excuse of a mixed blooded vampire."

"Get off my face or I'll bite your eyeballs clean!" Annah warned while Ricco just laughed out loud and went to his seat along with his group of dum-dums.

"I swear when no one's around, I would suck him dry of all his blood." Annah drawled under her breath as she sat back in her seat.

"It's been two years Annah. He still gets your nerves?" Maine asked in a low voice.

"It's only the first day of the school year, Maine, and he's into my nerves."

"He's just being a Kwon. A jerk one I might add." Maine said in low voice.

"Being a pureblood didn't do him good on his brain. He's a nitwit." Annah still clenched her fists together, bowing to her notes in the subject of History.

"Tell me about it." Maine agreed. "At least he's good-looking and seriously delectable," Maine said licking her lower lip.

"Gross." Annah grimaced terribly at the display of her friend's interest in the pureblood Kwon. "Stop patronizing with the pureblood vampires. They hate us and I hate them all."

"Just saying. I heard their blood is seriously addicting. I might have taste one someday." Maine continued.

"Make sure you won't have one in the line of the Kwon's or you'll get their lunacy, self-centeredness, sick confidence, stupid, moronic traits from their blood," Annah muttered grudgingly and scribbled on her notes.

Maine looked over Annah's shoulder and almost burst out laughing when she wasn't taking notes but seriously hexing Ricco Kwon with her pen.

"Careful what you wish for, sweety. Coz you might just get it." Maine reminded, making Annah pause for a while and stopped from cursing Ricco again and again to the core of her heart. She turned in Ricco's direction and got seriously annoyed at his smirking face once again. She continued to put hexes surrounding his name once again.

"I wish we aren't taking the same classes this year but I'm just so freaking lucky all way through and through," Annah muttered for more.

"Gloat all you want for being classmate with Ricco. Obviously, you're the only one who's upset here." Maine forced Annah's head to look up and saw the women in the classes and even the men were very proud to be Ricco's classmates.

"Disgusting taste you all," Annah muttered and crumpled the paper grudgingly and threw it to the bin. "I shouldn't waste my brain cells with this jerk."

But Annah had no luck indeed when she traced her way on the food section in the building, she had to walk through the path where Ricco was hanging out with his groupies. With a tray in her hand, she turned in the opposite direction but the jerk already saw her.

"Hey, Park?! Finally feeling small passing over the presence of purebloods?" he called out while Annah did her mantra to shoo away her anger and sweetly smiled in his direction.

"You know what, Ricco? On the other note, I'd like you to know that as much as I can, I would refuse to see your face because it darkened my beautiful, oh so sunny days," she said pleasantly.

"Mixed blood really are sad weird creatures." Ricco shook his head solemnly, clicking his tongue in fake sympathy.

"And purebloods are just sad excuse of a vampire, really. You're not even that special Ricco."

"Mongrel vampire." Ricco shot.

"Black blooded vampire." Annah retaliated.

"You just wish you want to see the real color of my blood, don't you? But sorry, you won't, sweet apple pie." Ricco faked a pout as if talking to a puppy.

"I'll drop dead first before I will desire to see your blood, Kwon."

"You'll beg for it." Ricco wiggled his brows.

"Oh no, I won't sink my teeth of your filthy blood." Annah had her brows in one line.

The rest of the purebloods accompanying Ricco reacted in anger. If not for the presence of their leader of all student purebloods in the academy, they would tackle her down right there. BA or Black Academy was supposed to be exclusive for all pureblooded vampires only. But because the founder of the school was replaced, the academy was Hybridized, allowing interbreed vampires to enroll in such prestigious school - has changed its name into England Interbreed Academy. It was only two years ago and the population has grown steadily. Mostly the enrollees are like Annah Park, a hybrid creature from a vampire father and a vampire father. But hybrids are ostracized openly by some purebloods since they were considered an abomination to the vampire race. They'd been called names and Ricco had the knack to pick on none other than, Annah Park. A mongrel or a mixed-blood were just a few of the names he used to downgrade her. It'd been two years and he wasn't stopping even at the third school year.

"Filthy blood you say? Don't refer yourself like that, Park." Ricco clicked his tongue with a smirk on the side of his lips. The rest of his groupies were looking at Annah in distaste with their rich, luminous blue eyes, a contrasting trait of the vampires of pureblood.

"No. I'm definitely referring to you, Kwon." Annah shot back and glared at him with her chocolate-colored eyes. Instead of anger, Ricco cockily looked at her as if all her words didn't get under his skin to even piss him off..

"Oh, that's quite wrong to say it, most especially from the lowest class in the pyramid of the vampire race." he shot back, crossing his arms across his chest.
