Since it was midnight, there wasn't much time left. So in a hurry every servant left to prepare. Of course they only had one bride attire, so they had to do a lot of work to get another. Finally, they found the perfect dress to fit her.
Looking in the mirror, Vivi whispered. "Bride of the Vampire Queen. Finally." She whispered so low that even she could barely hear it. Naturally, no one else heard it.
After a certain while Vivi was called by the servants to go to the main hall. Typically a bride would be walked down in the aisle by her father. But given her Vampire situation, that was a bit too much to ask for.
But, to go with the theme of the wedding, one of the servants decided to pose as the man walking her down the aisle. At the end of it, no one was there, apart from the minister. As Vivi took her place, another music replaced the previous one and in a hauntingly beautiful red gown the Queen walked down the aisle.
Neither Vivian nor the crowd could take their eyes off the Queen and soon she joined right next to Vivian. With their variable heels, they appeared the same height in the ceremony. The minister incharge began, "Dearly Beloved. We have gathered here to witness the union of the Queen Guinevere Lilian Sylvester and Doctor Vivian Sylvia Mosby."
The Queen looked at Vivian with her classic smirk while Vivian stared back at the Queen blankly, doing so for the very first time.
"Now repeat after me" the minister urged and starting from Queen Guinevere, it followed.
I, Guinevere Lilian Sylvester, take you, Vivian Mosby, to be my bride, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health." The Queen smirked at the humanness of these vows "...to love and to cherish, for as long as we shall live". Even though The Queen meant none of it, she sure felt a flutter in her heart as she spoke those words while looking directly into the eyes of Vivian.
A faint smile graced Vivian's luscious lips before she began as well. "I Dr. Vivian Mosby, take you, Queen Guinevere Lilian Sylvester, to be my wife and my Queen, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, for as long as we shall live". Vivian finished without skipping a beat. Queen was quite amused with how eager and yet composed Vivian was. Somehow it excited the Queen for the upcoming night.
"Do you Queen Guinevere Lilian Sylvester take Dr. Vivian Mosby as your wife?" The minister asked.
"I do." The Queen declared. The undertone words bothered many of the audience, but not Dr. Vivian Mosby as it was confirmed by the following sentences.
"Do you Dr. Vivian Mosby take Queen Guinevere Lilian Sylvester as your wife?" The minister asked Vivian this time.
"I do" Vivian declared flatly.
"I now pronounce you Wife and Wife. You may kiss the bride." The minister declared.
Vivian was reluctant to take the first step, so she was pulled into the is by the Queen instead. While the Queen had lots of experience in kissing someone, it was the first time she ever shared her lips with a woman. It lasted a little longer than a mere peck, but the soft plump feels of Vivian's lips made her wanting for more.
Queen Guinevere was curious and for how Vivian seemed like a perfect candidate to satiate her curiosity. Once they pulled away the crowd cheered at the duo. And therefore from a ruling Queen, the ruling duo has been selected. After the Queen dismissed everyone, she lowered her voice and whispered, "Follow Casper, he will show you to your room."
"My room"? Vivian was puzzled. It seemed like the Queen had planned for them to have separate bedrooms.
"Disappointed?" The Queen raised an eyebrow. Vivian didn't reply and simply stared at her. "You might have earned the title, but earning the right to my room is still beyond your limitations.
"I will do anything for that." Vivian nodded firmly.
"Aren't you a bit enthusiastic?" The Queen smirked.
After that she left the stage leaving Vivian all by herself. Soon she was joined by a limping servant, posing humbly, "My Lady, I am Carson. If you ever need anything, call me." He mumbled. "Please follow me, I shall lead you to your room." Carson pleaded to Vivian.
With a nod, Vivian followed Carson and through a series of corridors they finally reached the magnificent room which would belong to Vivian from now on. Carson didn't dare step in and bid his farewell from the door itself.
While Vivian took her sweet time drenching in the view of the room and from the room. Everything was so beautiful that Vivian couldn't believe this was hers now. On the corner of the room she found a tiny hand print that had been carved into the wall.
That's when it hit Vivian. Despite the fancy decorations of this room, this was the infamous cursed room. There was a legend that the handprint belonged to the 'monster'. A monster that would cause the end of the ruling of Vampires, bring the end of royalty. And this was the room the Monster was born in.
Then was the Monster a Vampire? No one knew. The only person who knew about that monster was the previous king who killed himself in front of Guinevere so that the secret died with him after Guinevere had brutally ripped out The previous Queen's heart.
There were speculations that the king let some kind of other species into the castle, but judging from the handprint, it appeared an awful lot like a handprint of a human baby. Perhaps the monster was a human after all. Oh what an irony would it be? To be dethroned by one species Vampires were meant to drain.
Perhaps this is why no human near the Queen survived her. Vivian wondered.
Nevertheless, Vivian didn't have much time to ponder on why she was here as soon there was an alerting noise. She snapped back to find the door opening, revealing the Queen in quite a revealing outfit.
