"But you never touch the people you dislike."
"True," John Fame lifted the corner of his mouth, "Lissy Lock, you know very well, I never liked you."
"That's perfect then." Lissy Lock tried hard to remain calm, "You don't need to force yourself, and I don't want it that way either. To be Mrs. Fame in name only, I'm perfectly fine with that."
John Fame suddenly chuckled lightly, his voice was low and mellow, slowly closing the distance. With each step he took forward, Lissy Lock stepped back, until she had nowhere to retreat and fell on the boat.
John Fame still appeared to be superior: "Since we're playing a charade, we should play it to the full. Even the best illusion cannot cover up the reality."
Lissy Lock asked again: "Is it because Grandpa is investigating us?"
