Lissy Lock watched as the two of them entered the elevator one after another.
Aurora Dupont stood on the left, with her arms crossed, as Kai Piers stood next to her, softly calling out, "Aurora."
Aurora pretended she hadn't heard, creating an eerie silence in the elevator, only their soft breathing audible.
"If one day, I got injured and hospitalized like John Fame, would you come to see me? Just like... a friend."
She turned her head and said, "CEO Piers, you hardly need someone like me around."
"But I hope you care about me."
Aurora turned around, her finger poking on Kai Piers's heart: "In here, is it me or my sister that you're really carrying?"
Kai Piers's gaze deepened: "Aurora."
She coldly withdrew her hand: "Don't say such things in the future, it's disgusting to listen to."
He lowered his head and looked at the spot she had touched, placing his hand on it.
After a pause, Kai Piers said, "I heard, the Dupont Family is arranging for you to go on a blind date."
