Aurora thought for a moment and asked, "What if I don't get in?"
"I can carry you in," came the reply.
Aurora turned and started to walk towards the car, "Then I choose to get in by myself."
Kai Piers watched her retreating figure, a small smile playing on his lips.
Aurora chose to sit in the backseat. Kai, looking at her through the rearview mirror, commented, "It's rare to see you so docile."
"I just want to get away from you quickly, without any fuss. Kai Piers, I hope from now on, we can interact in a normal way. Can we? Please...I beg of you."
He started the car, turning the steering wheel, "In your view, what's normal?"
"Treat me just as you treat everyone else."
"But you are Aurora," said Kai, "how could you be the same as everyone else?"
Because you are you, my interaction with you is different from others.
