One day while our protagonists Urufu, Simon, and Sofie were out on a long errand that took them all day time to finish. They were on their way back home.
"We should get back. We don't have much left to do now," said Simon
"Yeah, besides, I think Father and Mother could be worried for us," said Urufu, who became the newest adopted son a few months ago.
After walking back, they start to see black smoke come from their area. This confused them since they usually turn on the fireplace after dusk.
"Strange. It looks like they turned on the fireplace early," said Simon worryingly.
"Maybe they were cold," said Sofie, blissfully ignorant.
At that moment, Urufu's nose started to pick up a scent that got him alarmed, and he told Simon and Sofie, "This might not be the fireplace going off." Urufu saying that got Simon and Sofie alarmed.
The three started running home, dropping whatever they had in their hands. When they made it to a point they could see the house, they saw it was burning with no sign of Fluch or Daisy.
"What... happened?" asked Simon, looking scared
"DAAAAADDDDDYYY!!!" Screamed Sofie while running to the house
"SOFIE NO!" screamed Simon while running after her. Urufu followed after Simon without saying a word.
The three arrive at the house itself, seeing it burning in front of them. However, as Sofie started approaching the house slowly, Urufu heard something begin to react.
"WATCH OUT!" yelled Urufu while jumping towards Sofie.
Urufu grabs Sofie and jumps back as arrows are shot from somewhere, almost hitting Urufu while dodging them.
"Damn, I missed." said a mysterious voice while they walked toward the three kids.
Three strong-looking people approached from the darkness. One had a bow, the other had a staff, and the third held a sword.
"I thought there were only two of them the boss wanted dead." said the bow guy.
"Of course, they had kids, but who is that dark-skinned fur kid." asked the staff guy.
"I think that's the werewolf reported around." said the sword guy.
"oh... oh no..." said Simon looking terrified.
"What's wrong?" asked Urufu, worried about what scared Simon about the three attackers.
"Those... Those... Those are...-" said Simon before being cut off by Sofie.
"People who worked with daddy..." said Sofie with visible tears in her eyes.
"WHAT???" yelled Urufu in surprise.
"Look, your daddy was a burden to our boss." said the bow guy.
"And besides, he was hiding a werewolf from the military. Which is a criminal offense which the only proper punishment is death." said the staff guy.
"Also, any witnesses will be killed. NO EXCEPTIONS!" said the sword guy with big dirt munching face that only a mother could love.
"Simon! Sofie! Go inside and look for mom and dad's magic staff. We have to win this fight to survive, SO GIVE IT YOUR ALL!!" Said Urufu to his siblings.
"What about those three? They will stop us even attempting to get them!" said Simon to Urufu.
"I will fight all three of them alone until you two can fight," said Urufu.
"But... you will die," said Sofie while sobbing.
"Is that supposed to be a joke? Even if the challenge is too hard to handle, I will still fight it. Do you know why? BECAUSE I WILL FIGHT TO PROTECT MY SIBLING, EVEN IN DEATH." told Urufu to Sofie and Simon pridefully. "Now go!" said Urufu to Simon and Sofie.
Simon and Sofie run for the house. However, the bow guy starts to aim at the two. But before he can shoot the bow, Urufu appears in front of the bow guy as he runs at lightning speed. "are you trying to hit my siblings?" asked Urufu to the bow guy with an intimidating glare that showed Urufu was very angry.
"OVER MY DEAD BODY!" yelled Urufu at the bow guy before slashing him in the face with his wolf claws, causing the bow guy to scream in agony.
Meanwhile, Simon and Sofie make it inside the house and try to find the staff that belongs to their mother and father respectfully. They do find them. However, they are right next to their father's corpse.
"Daddy..." said Sofie in a sad tone.
"Y-yeah?" replied Fluch, who was surprisingly still alive.
"DADDY!" said Sofie while crying.
"Where's mom?" asked Simon.
"She died right before they burned the house down. Where is Urufu?" asked Fluch to Simon.
"He's outside fighting the three traitors!" replied Simon.
"They-... are not traitors. I can understand why they would attack. Listen, take the staff and follow the last mission I will give you." said Flutch to Simon and Sofie.
"What is it?" asked Simon while tears came to his eyes.
"Protect your new brother. Help him get control of his werewolf powers," said Fluch right before taking his final breath.
Sofie started to cry harder, and while Simon was crying, he ran and got both staffs, grabbed his sister, and got out of the burning house. They saw Urufu fighting both the Staff guy and the Sword guy when they got out. Meanwhile, the bow guy lay on the ground with his eyes slashed and no sign of life coming from him.
Urufu noticed Simon and Sofie got out with the staff and yelled, "BOTH OF YOU CAN FIGHT THE GUY WITH THE STAFF. I WILL HANDLE THE GUY WITH THE SWORD."
"ALRIGHT!" Yelled both while grabbing onto their new staff.
"So, you two are the biological kids of Fluch? Let's see what the greatest wizard of all the eastern region's kids is made of." said the staff guy while preparing a spell.
"BRING IT ON!" said a tearful Sofie.
"GELU GELUS!" Yelled the Staff guy while casting an Ice spell.
"FLAMMA!" yelled Sofie while casting a small fire spell that evaporated the ice but could not do anything else.
"That was a weak Flamma. I will show you a real one." said the Staff guy.
"FLAMMA!" yelled the staff guy while producing a large and fast fire spell that neither Sofie nor Simon could react to. The fire hit Sofie, severely damaging her.
"Oh no, you don't!" said Simon angrily.
"SANA ANIMAM," Yelled Simon while casting a healing spell onto Sofie, which healed her back up and removed any remaining flame on her.
"IMPOSSIBLE! HOW DOES A KID LIKE YOU HAVE A HIGH-RANKING HEALING SPELL??" Asked the Staff guy to Simon.
"This is the true powers to the child of Fluch and Daisy Zarberer. Unlike my sister, I studied hard and practiced even harder to become a strong mage and wizard. Even though my specialty is in healing and support magic, I can still fight a high-ranking WIzard like you." said Simon to the Staff guy.
"Bro-ther," whispered a weakened Sofie to her brother.
"You can rest, Sofie, I now understand his ranking, and I have an idea to defeat him." Said Simon proudly.
"HAHAHAHA. Do you think you can defeat me? I The great Wizard Sapiens Will be defeated by a mere child? Don't make me laugh," said Sapiens.
Simon is visibly angry over this Sapiens overconfident and decides to challenge him. "Since you are "The greatest wizard" according to yourself, why don't you hit me with the best spell you have on you?" asked Simon.
"Since the two of you are the children of the greatest wizard of the eastern region. I will!" replied Sapiens.
"What... are you planning... brother?" asked Sofie to Simon.
"Just shut up and watch," replied Simon back to Sofie.
"INTERITUS!" yelled Sapiens while casting a giant black hole spell that he shot towards Simon. However, Simon just smiled and told Sapiens. "You fell for such a simple trap."
"What are you talking abou-" was Sapiens going to reply before Simon cast his spell.
"Ad mittente!" said Simon while he aimed his staff at the black hole approaching him, this caused the black hole spell to return to Sapiens.
"THIS! THIS ISN'T HAPPENING!! NOOOOO!!!..." Yelled Sapiens while being consumed by the black hole spell he cast. After the spell absorbed him, it exploded, leaving nothing behind.
"Learned from the best in order to become the best," said Simon with a smirk on his face.
"How?- How did you do that?" asked Sofie with a damaged voice.
"Simple! I mimicked the spell dad would use against us during training. I knew it was a reflect spell, and it had a big gamble if I could pull it off. But, as they say, a higher risk is higher rewards." replied Simon to Sofie.
Even though Simon and Sofie's fight was over, Urufu still dealt with his battle against the Sword guy. Both were hitting each other with very effective attacks.
"Crap! the moon will rise at any moment. I don't have my cloak on me right now," said Urufu while being worried.
"Focus on the fight!" Yelled the sword guy as he hit Urufu with a strong slash. While Urufu was trying to get up, you could tell the sword guy was excited.
"I might as well ask. What's your name, werewolf?" asked The sword guy to Urufu.
"huh?" replied Urufu, taking it back with the question.
"I SAID, WHAT IS YOUR NAME WEREWOLF KID!!!" Yelled The sword guy at Urufu.
"I'M URUFU!! URUFU ZAUBERER!!!!" yelled Urufu at The Sword Guy
"Heh, so you adopted Fluch's family name as your own. How cocky. However, I, THE GREAT ALEXANDER VON GROSSTEN! Will take you down, WEREWOLF!" Replied Alexander.
"Alexander is your name, huh? Well then. Remember this, Alexander. Werewolves have one thing we can't control: our power at night." told Urufu to Alexander as the moonlight hit Urufu's body and transformed him into the Mythical werewolf that he is.
"So this- this is the true power a werewolf can provide? Well then, LET'S SEE WHAT YOU ARE MADE OFF, URUFU!!!" replied Alexander as he charged toward the werewolf. However, when the sword hit the werewolf, it shattered his sword, the attack also made the werewolf mad, and it attacked Alexander. with one Slash and it cut Alexander in half.
Once the werewolf was done cutting Alexander in half, it turned to face Simon and Sofie. Sofie, at this point, has already passed out. Meanwhile, Simon was looking at the werewolf while barely being able to stand.
The werewolf started to charge at Simon. "Ahh crap, I have very little magic left in me. This is all down to one last spell that will decide if I will make it to morning," said Simon to himself as he was preparing his staff for one final spell for survival.
"HABERE RELIQUUM!" Yelled Simon, which activated a sleep spell that made the Werewolf fall asleep. However, this spell caused Simon to faint aswell. All three of the Zauberer kids fell asleep outside.
The following day Simon woke up worried about what had happened. He woke up to see Urufu putting on his moonlight-resistant cloak and his sister looking at the remains of the burned-down house.
"Oh? You're up?" asked Urufu to Simon, which caused Sofie to turn around.
"Brother!" replied Sofie with a relieved look that her brother was still alive.
"So, what's going to happen now? Our house is burned down, and both mom and dad are dead," asked Simon aloud.
"Well, there are two options," replied Urufu.
"Tell us, please," replied Sofie.
"Well, we could either stay here with what is remaining and try to get back the life we have lost or move on from the past and start over a new leaf by traveling together?" said Urufu to Simon and Sofie.
"Honestly... staying here wouldn't be much of a help. However, we got nothing besides our staff. How are we surviving out there? We don't have any money!" asked Simon while being worried.
"Well, first of all, we have ourselves to support each other, and also we could make money from doing missions. It's the best we could do from now on. I think we can search for some missions in the next town over. What do you say?" asked Urufu to Simon and Sofie.
"Well, I guess we can do that, and I think we can develop and learn magic quicker that way, so why not? Let's go on a journey!" replied Simon back to Urufu.
"Does that make us a party?" asked Sofie to Simon and Urufu.
"Yeah, I guess you can say that." Replied Urufu.
"Yay! I'm in a party!" replied Sofie to Urufu.
"So we have Urufu who can be our fighter, Me who is a support and healer, and Sofie who is our mage and can hit our enemies with offensive magic. Not bad for a starting party," told Simon to Urufu and Sofie.
"Anyways, let's head to the town over and search for any missions to do. Time wasted is time we will never get again," said Urufu to his new party
The party of 3 start heading to the next town over to start searching for missions to do for money. and as of today the "Werewolf Party" was formed. and from now on the story will be about the werewolf party's journey.
