Emmaline's POV
The building with the fighting arena inside is a shady-looking one. Grey, boring brick. No sign because advertising what happens inside the building isn't necessarily what they want. When I pull into the parking lot, I head straight for the locker rooms having been here probably too many times. Inside the locker room, I change into a black tank top, black shorts, and black Jordans and quickly pull my hair into a high ponytail for my fight. Once I'm ready for my fight, I leave the room and head for the main room.
The area is buzzing with noise from the crowd surrounding the fighting ring and the crowd surrounding the bar, waiting for their drink or already downing the ones they have. My nose quickly picks up the scent of blood, sweat, and alcohol as I head over to the stand to sign up for a fight. They ask for my name and the starting fine to enter. After I'm finished with that, I walk over to the bar to say hello to my bartending friend before going to search for another friend of mine. Soon enough I find the friend I'm looking for, going up to her and interrupting her conversation with a big, buff-looking guy.
"Hey Camela," I greet a girl with purple hair and bright green eyes. She looks my way and immediately lights up.
"Hey, Emma! Long time no see!" she greets enthusiastically, making me laugh a little as I give her a hug.
"Am I interrupting anything?" I question looking between her and the male she was talking to. She looks over at the guy, shrugging him off.
"Not really," she says. The guy grunts and walks away.
"How ya been?" I ask once the guy is out of sight. Camela is what one would call a prostitute, but she's actually a genuinely nice and funny person. She's 5' 5" and has tan skin.
"I've been okay, how have you been? Still fighting, I see," she states.
"I've been okay. Just started my senior year of school, it's been going okay. So far," I tell. We continue small talk until my stage name is called for the next fight.
"NEXT TO FIGHT IS... THE BONE CRUSHER AND THE UNSTOPPABLE!!" the announcer bellows above us.
"I see your name hasn't been changed," Camela comments smirking, making me nod with a smile.
"Haven't been stopped, so no reason to change it," I explain with a wave as I walk away, stretching and taping my hands with tape on my way to the ring. When I get to the fighting ring, they announce our names, and we walk on. My name gets far more cheers than my opponent, however, my expression stays empty. Not allowing any emotions to show on my face. My eyes find my opponent, immediately making me laugh internally. He's mostly likely 6'1" and thin, like a walking stick. He has no real muscle, his legs were like sticks, and his arms hung at his sides. However, I don't let that underestimate me though. Letting him land a punch on me would just be embarrassing.
My focus comes back to the fight right as they yell at us to fight. My hands immediately come up to my face and I zero in on his stance and movements. As I study his actions, I see an opening, I swiftly squat down sticking out my leg and spinning to trip him. By the time I'm back on my feet and ready for anything he has to send back my way, he's flopping on the floor like a dead fish. Before he can recover, I grab his neck and hold him against the ground. He could breathe, just couldn't escape my grip. I'm a fighter, not some crazy killer. The official calls it and my body quickly pulls away, walking away from the fight with a smirk gracing my features. Right after the fight, I head straight for the locker rooms to change before anyone recognizes my face. To look a little more casual, I change into a black tank top, black ripped jeans and my black leather jacket. Once I'm all ready, I walk out of the locker room and go towards the fighting ring to see who's fighting.
Two guys were fighting, one I remember as the guy from the gym, Blaze, and the other guy is one I can't recognize. Deciding to leave, I go to the bar and say goodbye to the bartender before looking for Camela once more. Ten minutes later I give up, having a feeling she's "working" right now. On my way out I see Blaze, all beat up and bruised. A laugh escapes me. Looks like the bad boy can't handle his own fights. As I walk by him, I see him glance my way with a smirk on his face. My face stays blank as I walk out the door and head for my bike. I put my bag in the compartment under the seat before swinging my leg over the side, starting my bike. With one last look at the building, I see Blaze looking over at me. A smirk comes to my face as I drive out of the parking lot, making my way home.
Ashton's POV
Rrrrrrriiiiiinnnnngggg!!!!!
The bell for lunch rings loudly overhead, so I slowly get my things together, shoving them into my backpack and making my way to the cafeteria. While at my locker, I meet my friends and get things from my locker that I would need for my last two periods of the day even though I don't really want to attend them. Then we all slowly make our way to lunch, not in a rush to get anywhere. When we walk into the lunchroom, everyone gets quiet. It happens every time we enter the cafeteria, I don't necessarily understand it but none of us really care. My eyes search the room, stopping on a familiar brown-haired girl. She was eating salad and chips. Not weird at all. We all walk to our table and sit down. Jaden sits on my right, Axel sits on my left, and Blaze sits across from me. Throughout lunch, I snuck glances at the girl and after I glance at her once, Jaden catches my attention.
"Hey Ash, I heard some girl stood you up today in the hall," he speaks up, looking at me with a teasing grin. This catches the other guys' attention, making them go silent.
"I don't know what you're talking about," I reply, deciding to play dumb.
"You were hitting on some girl, and she kneed you in the groin," he explains.
"Is this the first time you've gotten rejected?" Hunter asks, smirking. The boys snicker until I send them all a death glare shutting them up.
"Ohhhhh, looks like Ash finally found his competition!" Mason teases.
"Who's the girl?" Axel butts in, making me raise an eyebrow. All the guys suddenly stop everything. It's not very often Axel talks, so when he does everyone listens.
"That's the thing Axe, I don't know her name," I lie slightly. Technically, she never told me her name, I just learned it from her phone. Axel raises an eyebrow, questioning me. He knows me too well. Shaking my head, I smile slightly. "She never told me her name."
"What does she look like?" he questions. I'm surprised by how much he's said in two minutes. The other boys seem to be surprised too.
"Uh.... Brown hair, blue eyes, slim, no curves, very tall...." I list. Axel knows everyone's name, what they look like, and sometimes their past. Maybe he knows her past...
"Oh, you must be talking about Emmaline Johnson," he says simply without much thought. Axel then searches the lunchroom for her, and soon finds her sitting in the far corner by herself. All the guys follow his gaze.
"She's hot but has no curves," Blaze speaks up sounding bored.
"Do you know her past?" Jaden asks, looking at Axel. Axel turns his gaze back to Emmaline, looking thoughtful.
"She's a big mystery. I don't know much, but no one does. She keeps to herself, has no friends, doesn't trust anyone, keeps people out, and doesn't waste her time with guys," he tells. "Oh, she also has some sweet rides," he adds.
"Whose willing to make a bet?" Blaze abruptly asks after a moment of silence. The boys all agree except Axel who just stays quiet, occasionally looking at Emmaline.
"What's the bet?" I question before agreeing.
"Whoever gets her to fall for him first, gets bragging rights and a certain amount of money from each guy," Blaze explains. The boys all agreed, then look at me expectantly. "You too scared for the challenge?" Blaze provokes. For a few moments, I think about it before finally agreeing. We're all looking at her when we notice her getting up. She walks over to the trash and throws away the rest of her lunch, then leaves the room.
"So, who's going to the fighting arena with me tonight?" Blaze asks, looking at everyone.
"I can't tonight. I'm planning on getting laid," Hunter tells, smirking. The other guys say they would be able to go, though.
"What about you, Ash?" Jaden questions, looking at me. So I shrug.
"Sure why not," I answer. "Who's fighting?"
"I heard the Unstoppable might be there," Axel comments, making everyone look at him.
"Who's that?" Mason asks.
"A girl that beats everyone. She hasn't gotten beat yet," Axel brags as if he knows her personally.
"That's because she hasn't gone against me," Blaze cockily states.
"She apparently even beat you're rival," Axel speaks up, "You know the guy who always beats you to a pulp. Ya, she beat him without even getting a scratch," he tells, smirking at Blaze. Blaze's smirk disappears immediately and the rest of us snicker at his reaction. The lunch bell rings and we all say bye, agreeing to meet each other tonight at the arena. On the way out, I throw my lunch away and walk with Axel to our next class.
After school, I go home and watch movies before deciding to take a nap. Not being one to get much sleep cause well, I'm a guy, I need to rest up for tonight. Unless I want to be exhausted as soon as I get there. When I wake up from my nap, I shower to rinse off the sleepy daze I put myself in and change into a white t-shirt, black leather jacket, and dark blue ripped jeans. Once I'm looking good, I brush my teeth and hair to look good, adding some cologne to smell good as well. By the time I'm done, it's time to go. So I grab my motorcycle keys, tell my mom I'm leaving, and exit my house. With my keys swinging around my figure, I head towards my bike and swing my leg over it, starting my baby. My helmet sits on my head cause safety first and I peel out of my driveway, driving towards the fighting arena.
The ride to the arena is short, soon enough I'm pulling into the dark parking lot. Not wanting anyone to steal my bike, I park in a dark area so it's out of sight. Quickly, I grab my keys shove them into my pocket and walk to the front door of the arena. When I'm inside I search for the boys, finding Mason and Axel by the bar. Mason's talking to the bartender and Axel's listening while drinking from the glass in his hand. As I walk up to them, I greet them with a bro hug. Then Jaden walks up to us and joins our conversation.
"So, you know anyone who's fighting tonight?" Axel asks the bartender. The bartender smirks and nods. "Well, who?" Axel prods looking slightly anxious.
"The Unstoppable came...." he says lowly. Axel's eyes widen with anxiousness.
"How do you know?" Axel questions, almost yelling.
"Well, I'm friends with her. How else would I know?" he replies.
"How are you friends with her?! She's like the best in the biz! Can I meet her?! What's her name?!" Axel starts to ramble.
"We met at a bar, and as much as I would like to answer your questions. I can't," he explains as much as possible, making Axel bang his hands on the bar. "Hey! Don't take it out on the bar!"
"Why can't you tell me!?" Axel pleads.
"She trusts me and doesn't want anyone to know her," he states.
"Axe, why are you so in love with this girl?" Mason teases. Axel immediately goes quiet and his face turns to stone.
"Nice going, Mason. You made him put his walls up," the bartender complains. Mason shrugs it off. Suddenly the announcer yells out the next fight, saying that the next fight is going to be the Bone Crusher and the Unstoppable. Axel immediately perks up and scrambles to the arena. We follow shortly behind him, getting there as the announcer calls the fighters to join the official on the stage.
One by one, they join. First, the Bone Crusher. Then, he announces the Unstoppable. Axel starts to get excited nearly jumping up and down. When the Unstoppable walks on, the cheers grow even louder. Her face is all stone, no expressions. Anyone could barely see her face features thanks to the lighting, which seem to be dimmer than before. The girl looks at her opponent up and down, as if studying his movements. As soon as the bell goes off signaling the fight she brings her hands up to her face. After a few moments of looking at each other, she swiftly bends down and spins, sticking out her foot tripping her opponent. She bounces back up by the time his body hits the floor, grabbing him by the neck until the official calls the fight. She swiftly lets go of him and stands up, walking off the stage with a smirk settling on her features.
"Omg! Wasn't that awesome dudes!?" Axel exclaims. We nod with him, heading off to find Blaze. After a few moments of looking, we find Blaze in a corner getting ready for his fight. We walk up to him and talk about the last fight. A few minutes of talking with Blaze goes by and he's called for the next fight. We walk to watch the fight while he goes to the stairs that lead up to the stage. Once the fight is over, I notice Mason has disappeared. Axel is gone too. My eyes find Jaden and I ask if he knows where they went which makes him smirk.
"Mason found a prostitute and is planning on having some fun, but I don't know where Axel went," he tells. Giving him a nod, I tell him I'll be right back. On my way to the bar, I look around for Axel and notice a familiar face.
Emmaline.
She's looking around, searching for something. Debating to go over to her, I decide against it and just watch her. Finally, she looks like she gives up and walks to the bar. She says something to the bartender and hugs him. Then she walks off to the exit. Making my way over to the bar, I sit down.
"Who was that? And why did she hug you?" I question. He turns around and shrugs.
"A girl named Emma, and she is a friend I met at a bar," he answers, I nod in understanding.
As I make a decision to leave, I get up and search for everyone, but end up not finding anyone. So I send them all a text, saying that I'll be going. Then I leave the building and go to my motorcycle. When I get to my bike, I swing my leg over and put the key in the ignition. The dark summer night cools me off from the indoor sweat as I pull out of the parking lot and drive home.
