When Paula took Charlie's temperature, she immediately smiled. He was fine after several hours and appeared to be ready to go to work.
"Since you're finally doing well, I'll go ahead and go somewhere to look for a new dorm that I could rent," she explained.
"But I already insisted you stay here for a while," he sulks, sighing. Paula could only smile and shake her head. "It's not good for us to be living under the same roof, but I can handle it."
"All right, but since we're going to the same place, let me drive you there," Charlie said.
"Okay."
"But wait, before we go to work, I made you breakfast," Paula said, confident that Charlie would enjoy what she had prepared.
"Well, that's good, but I didn't ask you to do that," Charlie retorted, "but I really appreciate it."
"Let's just say that it's the only thing I can do to help you when you suggest paying my house's mortgage."
