Chereads / My Unfamiliar Husband / Chapter 2 - Breaking Up

Chapter 2 - Breaking Up

"What is my grandson thinking?"

Raymart flinched when he heard his grandmother Chanda's voice.

"Nothing, grandma." Raymart slammed a glass of liquor into the side.

"You seem to be thinking deeply, grandson. Tell me that story." The old woman even tapped him on the shoulder.

"It's not that deep, grandma. Clarize didn't show up on our date again. I've been noticing that something's strange about her in the past few days."

"My grandson, keep an eye on your girlfriend. She doesn't seem to be behaving well anymore, it's getting worse and worse."

Mrs. Chanda made her grandson speechless for a while. In fact, she doesn't want Clarize as Raymart's girlfriend. His girlfriend has very rough manners, capricious and asking too many things from him. She also can't say that Clarize is wife material because she is bossy and she has rejected Raymart's proposal several times. Even then, she has doubts about that woman. Why can't she marry his grandson who's undeniably handsome, independent, has a stable career and can make a good family? It is so much so that she was disgusted with Clarize. That's why she secretly looked for the right woman for his grandson.

"Clarize is a good person, grandma. I'm sorry that sometimes she seems rude to you." Raymart just apologized. He sees how Clarize treats her grandmother, he feels that she's faking her attitude but because he loves her, he covers it up and ignores that kind of behavior.

"She's the one who's going to apologize to me. She's so cursed! It's nice to have her eyes cut out and feed to the crow!" Mrs. Chanda said with a shudder.

"Grandma, Clarize is just tired of her modeling. She's also worried about you. She loves you like I did," Raymart replied. But it's not really the truth. Didn't he know, he loved Clarize so much that he still tolerated her bad behavior.

"Let's not talk about that. How's your commuting experience? You see that grandson, you're the one who's sacrificing. You're still lending your damn girlfriend a car, why doesn't she ride a taxi in the first place?"

Raymart just laughed at his grandmother's rolling eyes.

"I'm okay grandma, I just met someone at the train station earlier. I'm really mad at her because she pushed me and nagged at me telling she was the first in line." He remembered the woman and even sided with the other passengers.

"Grandson, it's wrong to enter the queue when you know that someone has been there earlier than you. Then you know it's hard to commute, the passengers there especially on the train don't have cars and they are patiently waiting for the train. You should expand your understanding."

"Nevermind. She's just toxic. I even found her wallet, she's in a hurry and I can't return it to her."

"Then, find a way to return her wallet, maybe there are more other important things inside of it. Okay?"

Raymart nodded. "That's what I'm going to do."

"Here I am now, alone. Traveling in the midst of darkness. I always stumble. But here it is, I am still rising because I have no choice. "

Marigold cried even more when the radio was playing on the bus. Apart from Jack who seems to hint that he's breaking up with her, she even lost her wallet. Fortunately, she still had a little money left in her pocket that she used to pay for a bus fare.

"Here I am, soaking wet in the rain

Nowhere to take cover

No one can be approached

I wish I could shed more tears

And when reduced

My grief. "

Her tears go hand in hand with the sad lyrics. She did not realize that he was the only remaining passenger on the bus.

"Miss, where are you going down? We're almost reaching our garage."

She raised his face to the bus conductor who shot her a critical look.

"Brother, only in the Santolan area."

She looked around outside. She was too far away from where she had to get off the bus to get home.

"Brother, I'm already away from my destination. I'm really sorry."

She covered her face once the bus got off.

"Ate Marigold, aren't you awake? Isn't brother Jack's flight back to another country now?" CheChe shakes her sister marigold while she is still sound asleep in bed.

"I don't want to go! Accompany him to the airport if you want!"

Marigold even covered herself with a blanket. It's been a few days since she and Jack broke up but he still doesn't say that to her family. Because Jack has been close to Marigold's parents and her sister and she knows that they will be very disappointed when they find out that they have broken up. And to be exact, it was Jazz who actually broke up just because of a lame reason.

"Ate, we're prepared now. Get up there," Cheche whispered.

Marigold turned around. She is annoyed with Jack's memories and not with her brother. "I won't accompany that demon, okay?"

She was forced to get up. She even sighed and said that to Cheche.

"Sister, why?"

"Jack and I have broken up!" Gold shouted loudly. Her voice could be heard in every corner of the house.

"Well, why did you break up? Jack seems to love you sincerely." Cheche empathized with her sister and just hugged her.

"It's just a nonsense thing that a young girl like you would never understand." Marigold shook her head. "Get out of my room and tell our parents that from now on, they shouldn't have to mention Jack or anything from him. Tell them that Jack and I are over. As in, over!"

"That's sad. He seems so kind and your relationship even lasted for many years. Don't be sad, my dear sister. You can still find a man who is better than him. Because I know, you're attractive enough and you have a lively personality," Cheche encouraged her.

"After this. I don't think I'm able to start a relationship again. I just want my heart to rest. But I know, this isn't the end of the world." Marigold smiled bitterly
