Chapter 18 - CHAPTER 18: EMERALD VILLAGE

The second someone noticed that the young prince was missing, it has been hours and there was an uproar in the village. The young prince had never left the village by himself so not finding him drove not only the king but the queens too.

The warriors were sent everywhere but in a hush manner as they didn't want to alert other villages about their missing prince. Emerald village was just too successful for others and they had a lot of enemies.

They didn't want to make them suspicious; they were also afraid that an enemy of theirs might have abducted Damari but who knew the little prince would bring a fermar back home.

King Murray was looking at his ger son who had been stealing glances at the fermar whom he had brought home and he felt sour. How can he not see that Damari was in love?

He didn't even know who this Alita was and his son was already stolen in just a few hours, how can he be smiling?

"So, where are you from?" the king asked as he decided to get more of Alita first before he judges the other.

Alita never expected she will be sitting with royalty when she woke up early in the morning. The man wasn't that scary as that aura didn't scare her at all. After everything she had been through in that world, she wasn't scared of any warrior or mage at all.

So, Alita was sitting there calmly without showing any fear and answered the man at ease, "I live in Reqox, Sir."

King Murray was a bit taken back. Despite living in Mes, he knew about the surrounding stars too. He just didn't expect to see Alita, she felt different and something about her was nagging him a lot."

"You studying or doing what there?"

At this stage, Alita knew that this man was probing for information and Alita didn't have anything to hide so she decided to just introduce herself to the man so that he won't keep on asking her these funny questions.

"My name is Alita Rogers and I live on Reqox with my mother, step-father, and half-siblings. I am also married, have one wife and one daughter who is turning three years old this year. I don't study but I am in the import business and go around stars buying goods to sell when I am back home. And most of the time, I explore other stars and sell whatever I find there," Alita smoothly summarized everything about her life.

Damari was shy before so she didn't ask Alita whether she was married or seeing anyone, so when he heard that she was married and already had a child, he was a bit upset about it.

He wasn't upset that she was married, he just disliked the thought of having someone else meeting Alita first before him. How nice would it have been if he was the one, she met first?

King Murray didn't expect that Alita will answer all questions he and the others were curious about in one go. He was shocked but his shock wasn't what was important but Damari's response was the one he was most concerned with.

So, when he looked at Damari who was now down, he wanted to strangle Alita but he also knows that Alita didn't even do anything wrong after all she was the one who saved his son and brought him home.

"I like people who are honest and thank you for saving Damari. Is there anything that you want we can give you for bringing Damari home?"

Alita wanted so many things but what she wanted the most at the moment was Damari but it seems like she won't be getting him any time soon. How can that possessive father and mothers just let their young prince go with someone like her?

At this moment, Alita was no one when compared to Damari and this kind of family will definitely not allow their beloved child to marry or be with someone who already has a first wife.

Alita's mood suddenly hit rock bottom and began to miss her wife and family. She had not seen them in a long time and now she wanted to just go back there.

Luckily, they didn't hold her for long and escorted her kindly to the guest house where she will be sleeping for the night. Since she already brought Damari home, she had nothing more to stay here for.

As for being with Damari, that was when she didn't know about his background and had not seen how much he meant to the village. Her wishful thinking got squashed.

Damari had been keeping an eye on Alita and as someone she had spent a few hours with, he had a good grasp of interpreting her emotions. Back then it wasn't just him who was interested, Alita was interested in him but after his father did that to Alita, Damari was now angrily glaring at his father after sending Alita away.

To be honest King Murray didn't know what he did to make his son look at him like this. He had been worried sick the whole day because Damari had gone missing and he lost all appetite as he was afraid that something bad had happened to him.

And yet when Damari returned, he brought a fermar with him and one that he was looking at with affectionate eyes. How can he just tolerate a pig that wants to eat the cabbage he painstakingly grew?

"You are very bad!" Damari scoffed at his father before running out of the room and going straight in search of his mother.

King Murray who had been labeled as a bad man looked at his aide to receive some insight into what had just happened here. The aide who had been present throughout the whole thing wanted to laugh but he knew that he couldn't do that.

How could he not tell the reason why Prince Damari was angry at his dad?

"Do you know anything?"

The aide sighed as he looked at the King, "anyone can tell that the young prince is in love with this Alita and he is just angry that you might have chased her away with all that questioning."

The king didn't think that it was serious at all, "she isn't suitable for my baby. I won't let my son be a second or third wife of anyone. If that Alita wants my baby, then he should consider divorcing his wife first and then marry my son."

The king was someone who didn't see his children be second, they were always the first and there was no way he was going to let anyone make his children a second.
