As the moonlight shined in the cell, it revealed the faces of the two men. One of the men was skinny and old, at least sixty years of age. His face was wrinkled and scarred. His dull blue eyes looked tensely at Sarah. His hair was grey, and he wore a silky purple robe. The man beside a halfling had spiky purplish-grey hair, red piercing eyes, and a pointy triangular chin. He smirked to reveal fang-like teeth, making him look more like a vampire than a half-elf. The halfling wore a brown robe and necklace with a moon on it.
"Look at the great and powerful Sarah Grutte Pier. Once a powerful warrior, now a prisoner in my dungeon." Laughed the old man as he spat on the feet of Sarah, to the pleasure of the other man.
"I am honored that the duke will come all this way just to spit on my feet." Replied Sarah will a belittling smile on her face. The other man, displeased with Sarah's response, slapped her across her face.
"How dare you disrespect the great duke of Lutter en paix, Louis Raphael Adamson Pier, you lower life." Shouted the male hafling.
"Hi, Arthur, how has it been? Long no see since you betrayed us. You look stupid, as always." Replied Sarah as she mocks Arthur and the duke.
"You can mock me all you want, Sarah, but I am making the decision that was best suited for me. Your weak rebellion will never win against the duke and the outstanding power of the Tucsons. So it was an easy decision for me to betray you and Christina for power and for survival." Replied Arthur as he looked at Sarah with a ghoulish grin.
"It doesn't matter to me why you did it, Arthur dear. Just know when I escape from her, I am going to kill you slowly and without mercy. Then I will pride with your head to the streets of the all towns and let know that this was Arthur the fool who dare cross Sarah Grutte Pier." Laughed Sarah as stared at Arthur intensely and with rage in her eyes.
"Your threats are as empty as your head. I have nothing to fear since you will be dead in two days alongside your sister and every other member of Anges du sol. And with you chained with Atozium metal, there is no way you are coming out of here, Sarah. So enjoy your final moments on earth and see you again before we cut off your head." Chuckled Arthur before him and the duke left, leaving Sarah alone with the rats in her cell.
Early the next morning, Kiyoshi awoke from the canopy of a tree and headed into the stronghold in which Sarah was being kept. He planned to scout out the stronghold with Lilly and Kivuli. Kiyoshi avoids the heart of the town since Tucson soldiers patrolled the town looking for members of Anges du sol to capture.
From the out-shirks of the town, Kiyoshi can see the soldiers turning every rock and searching every building for them. He continues on his way until he reaches the stronghold just where Christina advised him it will be.
Like usually Kiyoshi climbs to the canopies of the tallest tree to scout out the area. Lilly soon manifested herself behind Kiyoshi as he instructs her to go to the back of the stronghold undetected to observe the guards' movements. Kiyoshi then commanded Kivuli to explore the stronghold, to find Sarah, and to find her sword as well.
For the next several hours, Kiyoshi sat still in the tree tops observing the moments of those in the stronghold. Lilly returned, reporting that she observed at least three hundred armed guards who patrol the area in shifts of forty-five minutes intervals.
"So there are five hundred guards in total. With four towers in each corner, with three guards stationed at each tower. The rest of the stronghold comprises nine other buildings, so we have to await Kivuli's report to find out where Sarah is and how we should approach the ambush." Remarked Kiyoshi as he awaits Kivuli's return.
"Kiyoshi, I have returned, and I found Sarah." Remarked Kivuli as he returns.
"Where?" Asked Kiyoshi with excitement.
"She is located underground in the seventh building on the east side of the stronghold. Also, the duke and Arthur, as well as Sarah's sword, are located in the ninth building in the center of the stronghold." Replied Kivuli as Kiyoshi ponders their next moves.
"Excellent work Kivuli. Now that we have all the information we need. So we will strike at midnight tonight and free Sarah from the Tucson's gasp." Declared Kiyoshi as they await the time to pass to execute their mission.
When it was midnight, Kiyoshi leaped off the canopies of the trees as Lily sat back scouting the stronghold as Kiyoshi, with the help of Kivuli, explore the stronghold. Kiyoshi carefully traversed the area as he made his way to the underground dungeon where Sarah was kept.
Within minutes, Kiyoshi spotted several soldiers guarding the hallway to the dungeon. Before the guards could take notice of Kiyoshi. A multitude of shadowy tendrils protruded from underneath Kiyoshi's cloak, attacking the soldiers, knocking them out, and dragging them into the nearby bushes.
With haste, Kiyoshi quickly made his way into the building leading to the dungeon. As he made his way through the building, Kiyoshi ordered Kivuli to scout the area. At the end of the building stood five soldiers guarding the door to the dungeon. With lightning fury and unwavering resolve, Kiyoshi quickly dispatched the guards and made his way down the stairs to the dungeon.
The dungeon smelled of death and decay and feces and other waste matter gathered in the cells with dead bodies of prisoners littering the floors. As Kiyoshi searched the cells looking for Sarah, he couldn't imagine the horrors that Tucsons were capable of committing.
"Disgusting and merciless. Yet I am considered a demon. Simply madness." Remarked Kiyoshi to himself as he continued walking through the off-putting hallways.
"Hi who's there? I know you're not the usual persons who come here. You don't smell like ass and weakness." Shouted a female voice coming from one of the cells. Kiyoshi quickly made his way in the direction of the voice.
There in a cell, Kiyoshi found a woman chained to her hands and feet. Upon looking at her, Kiyoshi realized the woman looked exactly like Christina. This must be Sarah, Kiyoshi proclaimed in excitement. With a multitude of cuts and slashes, Kiyoshi destroys the bars of the cell in order to free Sarah. He quickly moves to cut the chains freeing Sarah, but Sarah stops him and breaks out the chains for herself, claiming that she could break out the chains anything she wanted to.
With Sarah freed, they quickly made their way out of the stronghold through the sewers so as not to draw attention to themselves. On the out shirks of the stronghold, both Kiyoshi and Sarah wash themselves of the sewage by a nearby river.
"Damn it, Fuck!" Shouted Sarah as she realized she left her sword back at the stronghold. Kiyoshi laughs as a strange man appears from the bushes behind them. The man had on a black tuxedo and fedora hat. His skin and clothing were almost identical in color and had a shadowy feel to them. The man had no facial features as he slowly strolled toward them.
"I got what you send me for Kiyoshi." stated the strange man as several tendrils appear from the man's back, one revealing a board sword with a blade at least seven feet in length.
" It's my tenkoku piaser, my sword." Shouted Sarah, as she quickly grabs her sword, unconcerned about the humanoid creature standing before her.
"Thank you Kivuli." Remarked Kiyoshi as the strange man nods his head and retreats back to Kiyoshi's sword.
"You don't seem scared or worried about being around a creature that clearly wasn't human." Remarked Kiyoshi as Sarah hugs her sword.
"Clearly, one must expect demons if they are in the presence of the blood samurai." Replied Sarah as she cleans and polishes her sword.
"How do you know that am the blood samurai?" Asked Kiyoshi as they both continue on their journey.
"Simple, if I know my sister, there is only one person she will think that can and will invade a Tucson stronghold to rescue me. Plus, that creature called you Kiyoshi, and that is the name of the legendary blood samurai." Replied Sarah with a devilish smile on her face.
As they traverse the forest on their way to Anges du sol hideout, they hear the alarms and sirens of the stronghold going off.
"They must have realized I escape. Oh well, I wonder how Arthur must be feeling now that his trump card to power is gone." Laughed Sarah as danced to the sirens going off at the strong.
Back at the stronghold, both Arthur and the duke are enraged by the sudden disappearance of Sarah. With an intense flurry, the duke slaps Arthur across his face, sending Arthur to the floor. He demands Arthur come up with a plan to stop both Sarah and Anges du sol or he will be hanged by rope in the town's square.
Arthur nods his head as reassures the duke that by morning the end of the Anges du sol and Sarah will happen. The duke walks off stating he hopes so for Arthur's shake.
Back in the forest, Kiyoshi and Sarah continue making their way to Anges du sol back up hideout that only Sarah and Christina know. As come closer to the hideout, they find themselves surrounded by several dozens of hooded figures blocking their path.
