With monstrous rage and intense flurry, Sarah swings her down and the massive sword connects with the ground in seconds. Arthur arose from the ground checking to see if his head was still connected to his body and it was. As Sarah walks around from Arthur he calls out to her wondering why she let him live when they were in a heated life-or-death battle a second ago. Sarah annoyed turned to her sobbing brother and remarked that Christina was right she couldn't kill him because they were the ones that raised him and that are siblings and the only family they have left. But remarked that his crimes against the group couldn't go unpunished but she couldn't bring herself to kill her little brother regardless of what he had done.
Sarah then proceeded to walk towards a fallen log and sat on it whilst all the while staring at Arthur who was brought to tears at this point.
"So what happens to me now?" Asked Arthur as tears streamed down his face.
"Exile!" Sarah proclaimed in sadden tone of voice.
"You will be banished from the group and from everyone that is your punishment." Sarah continued
"Exile seems fair enough for a traitorous bastard like myself" Arthur replied with a heavy heart tone of voice.
Sarah arose from the log and walked towards Arthur. As she did so, she remarked that no matter where Arthur went in the world, he must remember that she and Christina will always be there to guide and protect him. That those thoughts will carry him through the toughest times when he feels alone and depressed.
Sarah paused her words for moments and kneeled in front of Arthur holding onto his face with her two hands.
"And remember above all both me and Christina will always love you, Arthur," she remarked with a sad smile on her face. With a gentle kiss on Arthur's forehead, Sarah wishes her brother farewell as she heads back to town. As Sarah walks away she could hear even so softly the words (I WILL MAKE SURE TO LET MA AND PA KNOW YOU SAID THAT). And with a flash, Sarah turned around to see Arthur with one of the broken black blades to his neck. Without thinking, Sarah darted towards Arthur to stop him but it was too late Arthur had used the broken blade to silt his own throat.
With a swipe of his hand and a sharp blade, blood gusted out of him like a soda pop that exploded after being shaken. With determination and hopefulness, Sarah quickly attended to her brother praying she could save him in time. Sarah quickly placed Arthur's head on her lap as she tended to his wound. With dreadful tears of a heavy and broken heart, Sarah cried out for the first time since her parents were killed decades ago. She cried asking why would he do this and begged him not to die. With a weak smile on his face, Arthur rubbed his bloody hand across the left side of his sister's face leaving a bloody smudge on her face before fading away to the other side.
With desperation setting in Sarah placed her hands on Arthur's neck trying to force herself to manifest a magical ability like Christina to heal her baby brother back to life but to no avail. Sarah placed all her strength and faith in her hands hoping for the slightest shine of light to come from her hands to indicate she had awakened some kind of healing ability like Christina but nothing happened. Sarah cursed and roared loudly saying she had the power to destroy kingdoms but not save her little brother.
As she came to terms with the reality that Arthur was gone she gently passed her hand over his eyes closing them. She then gently lifted his lifeless body like a mother lifting a sleepy young child to carry them to bed. With a sad smile, she looked at her brother, remarking that he looked peacefully asleep before making her way back to town with his body in hand.
Back in the town of Lutter en Paix Christina and other members of Anges Du Sol were wrapping up the emergency rescue and care of the town's people. Christina looked up to the sky with a bright smile on her face as the mission was a success. But deep in her subconscious, she worried about the battle between her brother and sister and prayed to the heavens for a peaceful resolution.
From a distance, she could see someone walking back into town. As the person came more and more into town she could recognized the person to be Sarah but wondered what Sarah was holding in her arms and it was wrapped in cloth. When Sarah was mere feet away from her she realize that the item Sarah was carrying was, in fact, a body, and her heart sank to the bottom of her stomach.
As Sarah gently place the body at Christina's feet an overwhelming surge of pain struck Christina causing her to drop to the ground as she cried out for her little brother that was no longer with her. As Christina rest her head on Arthur's lifeless boy and the tears streamed down her face a burning rage and anger grew as she blame Sarah for Arthur's death. Saying to herself how can Sarah actually kill him, yes he became a traitor to Anges Du Sol but he was their little brother non the less.
With her rage overflowing, Christina quickly raised her head off Arthur's chest to confront Sarah but paused as she saw the broken look in Sarah's eyes. Christina could see that Sarah's eyes were swollen from heavy tears triggered by a broken heart. Two sisters for a moment just looked at each other with no words to exchange but they both knew what the other was thinking.
With a heavy heart, Sarah explained to Christina what had transpired in the woods. Shaking Sarah explained how Arthur took his own life out of guilt for his betrayal of Anges Du Sol and that he promised to tell Ma and Pa how much we loved him. Hearing this Christina smiled wiping the tears from her eyes. The two sisters embraced each other as they mourn the passing of their little brother.
After a while, the two sisters could hear a female voice calling out to them. The two turn to see captain Michelle and Kiyoshi in the distance.
"What are those two doing together and where did they come from?" Asked Sarah in a furious tone of voice.
Soon both Christina and Sarah were approached by both Kiyoshi and captain Michelle.
"What are you two doing coming from that direction especially you Michelle? The blood samurai was free to do as he pleases after accompanying me but you had set orders and you went against them. What do you have to say for yourself." Shouted Sarah furiously at Michelle whilst Christina tries to calm her down.
Michelle stab her sword into the ground and dropped to her knees to explain herself.
"My beloved commander I convinced the blood samurai to join on a separate mission outside of the said operation." Remarked Michelle with her head bowed to the ground.
"What side mission could you possibly be on that you would disregard my order captain." Shouted Sarah who was on standing with her arms crossed.
"The destruction of the Tucson's faible d'esprit stronghold commander." Declared Michelle.
"So did you?" Asked Christina curiously.
" Did I what vice commander?" Replied Michelle in confusion.
"Destroy the faible d'esprit stronghold." Shouted Sarah.
"Yes commander me and the blood samurai were successful in falling the stronghold and everyone inside it." Proclaimed Michelle
"So you want me to believe only you and the blood samurai took down that stronghold by yourself? Is this true?" Sarah asked Kiyoshi doubting that only two of them could take down the faible d'esprit stronghold with over eight hundred soldiers inside it.
"Yes, your captain is quite a capable warrior it was a simple evasion commander." Remarked Kiyoshi at Michelle's behest.
"Hmmm you did great captain Michelle but if you ever disregard my orders again it will be hell to pay. Now go attend to your assigned function. Thank you." Remarked Sarah in a serious tone of voice.
Michelle nodded her head and quickly disbursed herself from the area leaving the three of them to finish converse.
Kiyoshi looked over in Christina's direction and realized that there was a body next to her covered in cloth.
"Is that who I think it is?" Asked Kiyoshi
"Yes even though is none of your business.!" Declared Sarah as she picked up the body and headed to the woods.
" Where are going Sarah with Arthur?" Asked Christina with a concerned look in her eyes.
"To bury my little brother. Now come on before someone notices. Remarked Sarah as he continued walking off.
"urghh Kiyoshi would you mind coming with me I don't think I could handle this on my own and Sarah isn't taking it too well herself." Remarked Christina as she holds onto Kiyoshi's hands.
"It will be my pleasure, Christina." Replied Kiyoshi with a warm embracing smile on his face.
Soon the two met up with Sarah and the three traveled for about an hour until they arrived at places with two huge stone pillars next to each other.
"Do you remember this place, Christina?" Asked Sarah with a forced smile on her face.
"It can't be. This is where we buried mom and dad isn't it?" Replied Christina who was brought to tears by the revelations.
"Yes this is where we buried mom and dad and this will be the perfect resting spot for Arthur." Proclaimed Sarah as she looked off into the distance.
The two sisters began digging a hole with Kiyoshi soon join in. Within ten minutes the hole was completed and Arthur's body was laid to rest. As they filled back the hole with dirty Sarah remarked that she wished that one day they can all be reincarnated as a family again. All of them but this time they would get to live long happy lives together. Christina realizing her sister was overwhelmed by her emotions embraced Sarah from behind as the two sisters began crying for their little brother.
With Arthur laid to rest the two sisters prepare to head back into town as Kiyoshi prepares his exit for a new mission.
"Thank you samurai for everything. Hopefully one day we can fight and see who is the strongest among ourselves." Laughed Sarah as she headed back into town.
Christina who was off to the side quickly ran up to Kiyoshi kissing him on the left side of his cheek.
"Thank you Kiyoshi, you did more than you will ever know and I hope we will see each other again soon." Remarked Christina whilst she played with her fingers as her face turned red.
"Come on Christina we still have work to do." Shouted Sarah.
Christina bowed farewell to Kiyoshi goodbye as heads back with Sarah. Kiyoshi smiles and proceeds in the opposite direction of the sisters.
"This was quite the exciting mission, I must say I did enjoy myself hopefully I will get to hang out with them soon." Laughed Kiyoshi as the sunset on him in the woods.
