He likely invited him beforehand so that they can make all the arrangements for engagement quickly. Because his son was the groom afterall,as a father he must have some wishes to do and gift.
He has raised his son Ivaan alone, because his wife died long time ago while giving birth to their first son Ivaan.
"I can't believe my son is getting engaged to the girl I love the most. I promise that my son will take care of Kavya more than anything," Ivaan's dad mumbled in his emotional voice. Overwhelmed with the feelings and emotions , Mr Singh hugged his old friend.
The unification of their friendship made Mrs Singh emotional too. She still remembers the day when Ivaan's mom and her used to be like young besties. It would have been nice if she were able to witness how long their friendship lasted and now they're going to be family.
