Chapter 26
As Layla got out of the shower, she donned herself with yet another fresh clothes from Hunter's wardrobe. She was drying her hair in front of the mirror, ignoring how she looked like a smidgen with his clothes on.
With the hair drier's on, Layla paused when she thought she heard her name. She turned it off and listened closely.
"Layla..."
"Hunner?" She stood up from sitting in the mirror to check for him. But the living room was empty of his presence. She didn't even sense him anywhere in the penthouse.
Thinking that she might only imagining it, Layla returbed inside the room and sat back in front of the mirror.
"Layla..."
Again the whisper came. Instead of a man's voice, it belonged to a woman.
