Synopsis
Layla got drunk one night and mistakenly confessed her love to the wrong Alpha- Hunter Cross-the school's well-known hades alpha from the Black Lilies pack. The worst of it all, he agreed to date her which made it hard to take back her words, too scared of what he would do to her. So, having no choice at all, she strikes a deal with Hunter to only give their accidental relationship a three-month trial period. If they both work out, they'll continue to date for as long as they like but if they turn out incompatible, they'll split after the probationary period. Their relationship prospers into an almost unbreakable bond. Nevertheless, the happy times came to an end, when a Beta, Kareena, Hunter's previous lover, revealed Layla's web of lies from the moment of confession which was supposed to be declared to Gian, the Skull's alpha. Determined to win back the trust that she lost, Layla blindly fell into a trap laid by Kareena who told her that Hunter wants reconciliation. She unintentionally brought herself into the den of beasts which may cost her life if she will not get away in time...

Chapter 1 - Prologue

Prologue

We all make mistakes. We all do.

Sometimes we put two sugar lumps on our coffee instead of one. We erased words on notebooks. We delete photos on chats. You know all those mundane things which make life, well...life. Despite committing little slips here and there, I don't hate myself. No, not a bit.

However, here comes one semestral break, the day started fine as I made it to be. Since I planned on confessing my long-hidden love to our club Vice-president, Gian Cross, the Alpha leader of Skull pack. I remembered feeling nervous while I fulfilled my duties as the club secretary, thinking of the confession I would be making later. Then all the members decided to hang out at the Noisy Raven club before going home.

I ended up going with them and having a little drink. The first mistake I made.

I have only one glass and my world spun like hell. But I was still determined to do my purpose of letting my feelings be known to Gian. I don't care if do it in the presence of all the club members. I should confess.

There, after I went to the comfort room in a poor attempt to rid of my drunken state, I finally stood face to face with the man I love since I could remember.

"Hey! I love you!" I yelled to him which immediately silenced the room we rented for the club members. I hate it because he wasn't responding and was just sitting there like royalty on the couch. His image came a little blurry since I didn't wear my glasses on.

"Why?"

A response!

My mind went ecstatic.

"You're so strong yet kind. You're handsome but you're not a narcissist and- (hic)-and you're perfect for me."

When I was greeted with a long stretch of silence. I frowned and staggered towards him, crouched down on his feet, and looked up to him. Gosh! why was his face blurred? I need to get new glasses.

"You're drunk, miss," he said in a tone that made me frown. When did he sound so manly? And miss? He used to call me Layla.

"Yes. I'm drunk of loving you. I think I'll drown if you won't accept me." I know I sound pathetic that I didn't pay attention to the sound of snickers on the people around which died down in seconds. Did he just glare at them? Gian wasn't the one to do that even if he's a leader of his pack. As an Omega of his pack, I saw how genuine and gentle he was when he leads us. I know my attempt to get the pack's Alpha right now could be likened to punching the moon. How on earth that a low-ranking wolf like me could dare dream of being his luna?

"You'll drown? Really?"

"Yeah." I bowed my head when I felt so dizzy. When I felt an incoming vomit, I abruptly stood up and I lost control of balance. Without meaning to, my body recoiled back and I expected I would hit my bum on the floor. But thankfully, I was saved. "Shoot. That was close. Haha." Man, I heard myself seriously slurring my words. When I regarded the one who wrapped his arm around my waist, my eyes squinted in concentration and wondered why the Vice-president's hair was blonde. I could smell a hint of cigarette smoke from his breath too. Vice-president Gian isn't fond of puffing one. I suddenly felt nervous.

"Fine. Let's go out. Don't want to see one dead woman, drowning with silly reason." I heard amusement in his voice.

I think I just sobered up as I met the eyes of the famous ruthless Alpha of the Black Lily pack! My face turned gobsmacked when I saw his lips curled into a wicked smirk. Oh no. I should correct this mistake!

I readied myself to tell him that, but when the Black Lily's lord leaned closer to my face, I chickened out. Especially after he announced his girl to the men inside that expensive-looking private room. That was the very moment I saw my soul descend to the ground. I made a mistake. The kind of mistake that will cost me a miserable life the moment I decide to take back my confession. This man is capable of inflicting a series of nightmares in the waking world to anyone who dared cross his way.

And so, before the school break ends, the chance to go out with the Skull's alpha gone down the drain. I became the girlfriend of this tyrant Alpha lord that even the other Alphas in the university put a distance from. Picture me crying buckets of tears from this day, onwards.

To a powerless omega like me, who would dare save me from this mess? My throat would be shred if I dare say that I confessed to the wrong Alpha!
