Layla's POV
Days later and Hunter was no show in the school. Thankfully, I made it through my heat season without anymore mishaps. What happened between Hunter and I was enough misfortune for me. I think I couldn't handle anything to happen right now.
"Hey, Layla." Greeted Mia to me as she got near my table at the library. "Heard from him yet?"
"No luck." I said. Mia was the first one to know about what happened between Hunter and I.
"Did you try calling him?"
"I called thousand times and send a message. No response and my calls were always sent in a voice mail." I answered, leaning my head on the book I was reading absentmindedly.
"Maybe just give him some time and he'll come through."
"He's in rage and I think if he'll come through, it would mean he decided to kill me and then Gian."
"Gian's gone too." Mia said. "Harriet's been complaining about extra workloads in the club. You should have come and help us."
