Layla's POV
Maybe my hearing impaired me just now but I quite heard about me, dying?
"I'm sorry?" My brows raised to Baba as if daring her to repeat her words again. I was ready to fight her even when she would be joking right now. "That's not even funny." I said.
Baba didn't say more words as she stared at me in contemplation. This old woman really unnerve me.
"Maybe I should head outside and…have some air." I said and stood up from the wooden seat. There was no moment in my life that I felt annoyed over an elderly person but now. Her words sounded wise but I think it was a little offensive to be told that about dying.
" Be careful of a jealous heart, child." Baba said before I could exit from there.
I turned to her in furrowed brows.
" Disaster is breed to a person bearing such emotion. So, watch your back or it's your peril." She went on and got out from there.
