Layla's POV
I didn't say anything about her words and just went inside the room. I too had no idea if what I felt for Gian was no more than fondness as a friend. We both went to our respective seats in the long table where I situated closer to Harriet since I would be writing the minutes of meeting.
"Alright, I think everyone is here." Harriet said and set aside the stacks of papers she had been working in.
"Why are you so busy?" Kanali asked Harriet who drank from her water as if she had been running in a marathon for a while.
"Yeah, you are not usually this busy." Jira said.
"The project has been approved." Harriet said. "And I got tons of paperwork to finish for it."
"The project about the unification?" Maia asked.
"Yeah, it's been read in the court and the boards approved of it. But it will be under probation for six months. If it was deemed to be successful, it will be put as law around the school."
