Hunter's POV (continuation...)
Instead of calling out for her, I sneakily stalked beside her.
"If you're that hungry, you should join me for dinner." I said which earned a startle reaction from her.
"Will you stop surprising me like that?" she said and and wound up a hand on her chest. I must have scared her for real. But despite that fact, I grinned in amusement. "Dinner's ready. No need to bite that thing off anymore."
Layla stalked away from me while I hastily joined her side.
"You're a weirdo."
She slapped my shoulder in irritation. "I was just checking it."
"By biting it?"
"That's how you manually check authenticity." She reasoned out.
"Hmm. Sure." I said.
"Drop it, Hunner or I swear that I'll bite you instead."
The very idea seemed appealing to me. "I'd like that."
"You're the weird one." She replied.
I wound my arm around her shoulder,"Yup. I feel jealous over that sculpture now. Damn."
