Hunter's POV (Continuation...)
I was about to leave there when an old gnome blocked my path. His stone-like appearance and stunted height made me crouched down to him.
"What is it?"
His small hand reached over me with a pat. " Death is ahead of you, my child," he said.
I understood that to be referring to my enemies but I only shook my head. "I'll be hunting. So death is inevitable for some. I need to go, someone's waiting for me."
I left that place without even listening to the other words of the gnome who was well known for being a visionary on many things. I should have listened and avoided the incoming storm ahead of me...
It was dawn when we both exited the forest in our respective wolf forms. Rahla, Nin, and the others were waiting for us in the valley. I transformed into my human-like form and turned to Layla who did the same.
"Rahla shall take you back in your place."
"You're going somewhere?" She asked.
"Yes."
