Surprisingly, none rebutted his statement. Not even that man named Raven whom I already disliked because of his brusqueness. I sensed that he wasn't in favor of Layla being Hunter's girlfriend at all.
The doctors silently excused themselves, sensing that there would be another fight in the room. I understand that they can't even say anything to these big dufus to shut the hell up after learning that they were the king's sentinels. It would be huge treason to treat the king's trusted men like that. An indirect insult to the throne.
"Shut up." Raven snapped at Jal who only shrugs his shoulders at him. It pissed off that brusque wolf. " I wouldn't wait here until sleeping beauty wakes. Have fun watching her."
