A/N: I'll be using
I walked on all fours along the thick branch and roared as my tails violently shook. In that moment, hundreds of flowers bloomed in the forest. I have succeeded in word magic.
Karina was surprised at my transformation.
"Impossible. In all of my life, I have never heard of a human assuming the form of a chaos beast."
I looked at her as I gradually reverted back to human form. I was shining brightly. My aura gently moving around me as my hair slightly fluttered from time to time. My eyes were a bright gold with my pupils being slightly darker like a sunspot. I picked up a flower.
The flower immediately died in my hands and disintegrated as the dried petals floated away like dust. I cancelled the transformation. My aura disappeared and my hair flopped down as my eyes returned back to normal.
"I'm sorry but I need to stay here for a while longer."
"How long exactly?"
I stared into the canopy.
"I don't know how long exactly but I only know that I can't leave yet."
"What do you mean by that?"
I laughed weakly as I looked at her.
"Because I just discovered something despairing."
I pointed to my shoulder
"Look."
At that moment, I showed her two spirits that were sitting on my shoulder. They are the spirits of water and earth.
"They're Chezure and Chizure, the spirits of water and earth."
"Spirits?"
"Yes. They're a requirement if you want to use word magic. They're the missing component. When the ancient texts said getting closer to the planet, they meant the spirits. Right now, I was able to make flowers bloom because of them."
"But then, can't you just take them with you?"
"I cannot explain it properly but what I know is i cannot leave as of now."
"If you can't leave then what about your family, friends, familia guild?"
"I'm not leaving them forever. I just...I cannot leave here for now. You'll understand soon."
I walked over to her.
"I'm sorry for giving this to you this late but I should atleast honour my part of the deal."
"W-What?"
I placed my hand on her shoulder.
I began transferring my life force energy to her. She felt this and tried to remove my hand but it was firmly planted on her.
"STOP ISAAC!!!"
"Don't try to stop me. I'll be done soon."
"W-WHY?!?!"
"Almost..."
I removed my hand from her.
"Instead of finding you a new body suitable for you, it'd be easier if we can create your own body."
By the advice and quick tutelage of the spirits, I channelled my life force into her while they combined their power to create a new body especially suited for her. Karina had a solemn look on her face.
"How long do you have left?"
I sighed as I placed my hand on her head.
"1 day."
Before she could react, I teleported her out of the forest. I sighed as I look at the two spirits fluttering about.
"I hope I won't regret this."
Meanwhile, outside the Blanca Forest, Karina was in despair.
"DAMNIT ISAAC!!! WHAT WILL I SAY TO THEM IF YOU DIE!!!"
At that moment, the God of Time appeared in her original majestic appearance.
"He won't die, atleast while he's in there. While he did give a huge amount of his life force to you, he will recover it if he stays there long enough but if he leaves, he will immediately age and die."
Karina recovered her composure.
"What is that place exactly."
"It's where the first chaos god was born hundreds of thousands of years ago. The Blanca Forest was once the seat of the mighty Ji clan, the royal family of the chaos race."
Karina was silent...and then spoke.
"Then why don't we know anything about this chaos god? As part of his race, naturally we should know something."
"Because once he obtained true godhood, he seperated this world into two and-"
At that moment, a clump of golden aura in the form of a human appeared next to the God of Time.
"Stop. Don't tell her needless things. She'll find them out herself as she grows stronger."
"As you wish."
The golden figure walked over to Karina. She instinctively bowed as the pressure forced her knees.
"I have been incompetent. I never expected that a member of my race would still exist in this world, nevermind had descendants. But I do acknowledge your tenacity. As such, I shall accept you as one of my kin."
Karina clenched her fists.
"THEN WHY DID YOU ABANDON US!!! SURELY AS AN ALL-POWERFUL GOD, YOU COULD'VE CHECKED TO SEE IF YOU LEFT ANYONE BEHIND RIGHT?!?!?! WE SUFFERED SO MUCH BECAUSE OF YOUR NEGLIGENCE. WE WERE HUNTED DOWN BY EVERYONE! I'M THE LAST OF MY RACE NOW!!!"
The golden figure stared down at her. Then all of a sudden, his once golden eyes changed into a black disk with a 3-pointed star protruding from it. The surrounding area was red.
Karina fell down to her knees as he glared at her. She began coughing and wheezing as blood started pouring out of her eyes, nose and mouth. She couldn't breathe properly as she grabbed her throat trying to remove whatever force was choking her.
"You're to going to kill her at this rate you know?"
The golden figure stopped releasing his killing intent.
"Someone who is weak doesn't possess the qualifications to talk back to me."
He stretched out his hand as a gold orb formed and entered Karina.
"I'll let you live this time but only if you can survive this. If you do survive, then you will be acknowledged as one of my kin and will be allowed to use the name Ji as your surname."
He vanished, leaving behind the God of Time and Karina writhing in pain. Gold veins appeared on her body as she gasped for air. She inadvertently partially transformed into her Nine-tailed fox form. The God of Time spoke.
"You're quite lucky. You're the first person in thousands of years to be ever accepted as a God's Kin."
Karina was breathing heavily as she slowly reverted back. She finally spoke.
"What's...a God Kin."
"A person a god has personally acknowledged. This means the God will always know where you are and will treat you like family. Of course, there are also multitudes of benefits. In your case, you may be able to see the other half of the world and meet fellow members of the chaos race while also being shown the respect and dignity of a God Kin."
Karina smiled weakly
"Then what did he mean when he said he would allow me to use the name Ji?"
"In the past, chaos beasts always had 'Ji' as a suffix to their names. For instance, you name would've been Jikarina."
Karina stood up as she wiped her face.
"Then what just happened in the forest with Isaac?"
The God of Time giggled.
"I guess I should also explain that part. Both you chanced upon a chaos mana hotspot in the forest. It was where the chaos god, the one you just met, meditated. That's also the reason why Isaac started transforming. The sudden influx of chaos mana hastened his evolution into a true member of the chaos race. Originally, he would've transformed into the mana of the bloodline he had but since he had a huge amount of your mana, it's only natural he'd evolve into a Fox like you."
"But he also absorbed the mana of eight other chaos beasts including me."
"But he absorbed much more of your mana which is why he would evolve into a chaos fox."
Karina frowned.
"But still. How is it possible that a human could become a chaos beast in the beginning."
"Let me tell you a little secret about the world. Originally, there were no humans. Only beasts and those beasts would eventually acquire a human form as they got stronger. A human form is the best form for multitudes of things as it is balanced. It is very versatile and can easily handle most things. Every beast, whether it be an ant, a chicken, a lion or a whale, has a chance of evolving into a human should they awaken enough of their intelligence. Now the humans you know of are the descendants of those beasts who mates and gave birth while in human form. Their children were born in human form and overtime, they lost their ties to their beast ancestry. However, there were a few in history who managed to regain those ties and assume a beast transformation. The most common would be wolves, tigers, lions and bears. There were some exceptional ones who managed to further evolve and transform into chaos beasts like dragons and phoenixes. Do you understand what I'm saying? Humans were originally beasts. It only makes sense they'd be able to tap into their ancestry and with enough stimulation, they could also evolve into chaos beasts."
"So the stimulation Isaac recieved is..."
"Yes. When he saw his dear beloved die in front of him, it was enough to stimulate the bloodline in his body and rapidly absorb the chaos mana in the vicinity."
"But then, if it wasn't for me, what would he have evolved into?"
"The Vermillion Bird is what he would've become."
Karina looked solemn.
"Then...did I disrupt his evolution?"
"No. In fact you improved it. I'm rather looking forward to what a Vermillion Nine-Tails would look like. You just temporarily supressed his bloodline. He'll eventually awaken it on his own."
The God of Time looked into the Blanca Forest.
"It's time."
"Wha-"
"Hold my hand."
Karina complied and they teleported. They arrived where I was in spectral form, only to find me encased in a triangular pyramid of transparent green crystal in a meditative position.
"That's a time pyramid. I erected it around him as a favour for you who are considered his closest allies."
"What does it do?"
"A year out here is 120 years in there. Right now his body is undergoing evolution and life force rehabilitation while his soul is in the spirit world learning the basics of word magic."
She turned to face Karina.
"Do you know why he teleported you away from here?"
"No"
The God of Time snapped her fingers as she endowed Karina to be able to perceive the form of spirits. She was shocked at the enormous amount of spirits that were here. All of them were also meditating as hundreds of threads connected them to me. Surrounding the perimeter was a violent void barrier that would teleport anything to the opposite side but would immediately.
"The reason he teleported you was because he knew he would be trapped in there for a long time. That's why he gave up his lifespan to form you a new body and teleport you out."
"But...how long will he stay in there."
"From our current perspective of time, I wouldn't find it odd if he stayed there for 10 years."
"You mean he'll spend an entire millenium in there???"
"He has to undergo training from each of the spirits present here. Learning word magic is a long procedure."
"But isn't it just to cause phenomenons with a single word?"
"Word magic is divided into two paths. Spirit Word Magic and Absolute Word Magic. Isaac is learning the first path while I'm afraid I cannot divulge information on the second path. All I can say is that only gods can use the second path. For the first path, you first need to understand what spirits truly are. They're a manifestation of the world principles. That means there's spirits of the six elements, spirits of emotions, spirits of void and space, spirits of life and death, spirits of force, spirits of evolution and so on. Everything you see is the result of world principles. Isaac has to learn all of that if he wants to effectively utilise word magic."
The God of Time looked at me once again and chuckled.
"Now that I think about it, he may possibly need atleast 30 or 40 years just to understand and utilise the world principles."
"What???"
