A lady elf spoke.
"Greetings outsi-"
"Put the bows down, all of you. If you don't, I'll rip off your arms."
She was angry.
"You insolent human!"
Her squadmates joined in.
"WHO DOES THIS MEAGRE HUMAN THINK HE IS?!"
"I'll have my arrow pierce you before you can even blink."
"DONT UNDERESTIMATE US YOU HUMAN GARBAGE!!!"
Alma wielded her giant sword in her hand.
"Are they really the all powerful Elves we've heard of in books?"
Ashley laughed.
"I'm starting to doubt if the elves are actually all powerful."
Maria sat down by the tree.
"It's not because they're weak. It's because we're powerful. Compared to the humans from our kingdom, their small squad could kill atleast a thousand of our normal soldiers."
Karina appeared behind the elf woman who spoke.
"Maybe it'd be easier if we just killed them all."
The elf woman fell from the branch in surprise. I saw an opportunity as I jumped up and caught her. I landed safely with her and looked into her eyes.
"My name is Isaac. I'm simply visiting the continent of the Elves put of curiosity and do not mean any harm. In regards to my earlier comment, I really hate it when someone points a weapon at me."
She looked at me but remained silent. I became slightly confused until I heard bow being drawn behind me.
"So annoying."
Still holding on to the elf girl, I vanished and did two touch spinning back kick on the elf who drew her bow. She was sent flying through the trunk of a few trees. The other elves immediately drew their bows as well. Karina was just about ready to kill all of them when the girl in my arms screamed.
"STOP!!!"
She jumped out of my arms and immediately knelt to the ground.
"We're sorry for offending great sir Isaac Blake."
I was surprised.
"You know me?"
"No one doesn't know of your name here in our country."
"But you seemed like you didn't know me before."
"Forgive me for not recognising you earlier. Please do not take what we previously said to heart."
I looked at the others. All four of them seemed like they knew nothing.
"What is your purpose in coming here?"
"Our elders said 5 people were approaching from the West."
I activated my Kansatsume on my right eye and my Hasunome on my left eye.
"Nothing else?"
"Y-yes."
"Who are you then?"
"My name is Eliza Drin, captain of the Advanced Scout Squad."
I muttered a spell under my breath and my Hasunome evolved into my Ribasuai.
"Tell me then Miss Drin."
I crouched down.
"Why are you sneakily moving your fingers like you're trying to signal some flies stationed quite far from here."
She was shocked. I had detected 8 people 60km east from me.
"Do you remember what I said I would do if you aimed your bows at me?"
I vanished...and appeared again, holding two freshly ripped off arms in my hands and another fourteen floating around me. Eliza became wide-eyed at the sight before her. She was afraid. A man was crouching in front of her, carrying the arms of her comrades in his possession.
"I said it from the beginning. That I'd rip out the arms of anyone who had their bows aimed at us."
The other elves immediately lost their cool.
"KILL HIM!!!"
I smiled as I sent a telepathic message to the girls.
{Immobilise all of the ones that moved but do not kill them.}
Karina smiled as she instantly began breaking their limbs.
"Finally!"
Alma began swinging her sword, slashing apart limbs. Ashley instead went and crippled their cores. Maria simply blew them away with her wind attacks, crushing them between the trees and her blasts, breaking their bones. Eliza was distraught. Watching her squad being taken apart like flies terrified her.
"PLEASE STOP! PLEASE!!!"
I stood up straight and looked at her.
"Everything that happened here is all your fault. I told you. If you draw your weapons, their would be problems. You signalled them to draw their bows. They suffered. You didn't prevent your squad from moving so they suffere-"
I suddenly felt a presence way above me. I quickly extended my finger.
"Hakushi"
I fired a highly compressed thin beam of white light. It pierced right through the abdomen of an elven woman who was floating in the air. She gasped.
"H-how???"
"I admit it's impressive. Your concealment skills rival those of the Familia's strongest assassins. Even I wouldn't have detected you at all if you had flew just a little bit higher."
I made three clones and sent them to get the eight people I tore off their arms from. They came back and laid them down in the ground. They were knocked out. I also had my clones grab the other elves and lay them on the ground. All of this was done in less than a few seconds The only ones still conscious were Eliza and the other elf in the sky. I spoke.
"Never mess with us again."
{Do it}
Karina immediately flew up to the elf in the sky and broke her neck. Eliza was grief-stricken as tears flowed out of her eyes. I cupped her chin.
"I hope you've learnt your lesson."
With that, the world around me shattered as my Ribasuai reverted back to my Hasunome. We were back to the scenario where I crouched down to her when I had asked her what her purpose was in approaching us.
"Nothing else?"
Eliza was silent. She was debating whether everything she had just witnessed was a dream or not. She then breathed in and spoke in a calm manner and forced herself to smile.
"I'm sorry for my rudeness sir Isaac. I will immediately cancel any malicious actions against you.
She signalled with her hands for the sniper squad 60km away to retreat.
"I'm sorry for my rudeness sir Isaac but would you like to visit one of our major cities? I'll personally escort you there and make sure you're well taken care off."
Everyone was silent. The other elves were also confused about what was happening. I smiled.
"Then we'll accept your offer "
3 days later, Beryl Villa Hotel, Cavern Coast City, Armania Continent
We had a lavish stay and we had also taken the time to gather some information. It turns out elves don't have the concept of seperate countries. It's just large cities seperated by districts. We were in District W4 with the 'W' indicating the compass direction from the capital. What happened in the forest was covered up and no information was leaked so we had a smooth welcome into the city as commissioned adventurers. We planned to stay for a week to familiarise ourselves more with the native elves. Overall, they were very kind. They were like the perfect city.
"I don't like this. They're too..."
"Perfect?"
It was Karina. She had taken the initiative to go on a walk with me while the other three decided to go to the hot springs.
"I also feel the same way. I tried investigating but I don't detect any sort of mind control or illusion."
"Let's ignore it for now. It's not our problem anyway. Maybe for all we know, they really are like this in nature."
We saw some vanilla biscuits on a stall and went ahead to get a few of them. We payed and continued exploring the city. We ended up sitting on a random roof and ate the biscuits. I took a bite.
"Not one slum in this entire city."
"It's honestly surprising."
It then hit me.
"I think we've forgotten a crucial factor here."
"What is it?"
"How old are all the elves here?"
"..."
"I mean think about it. If you're 200 years old and still live in the slums, then you're pretty pathetic. It wouldn't make sense to live that long and not be successful. Plus, accounting for the fact that elves have a low fertility rate at a younger age, it'd make sense that there's barely any children here who are suffering. The parents would've already sorted themselves out. Have this cycle repeating for a few thousand years and you'd have a city like this."
Karina couldn't help but laugh.
"I really am an idiot. Even in my chaos race, we never had anyone who went through a poor life. It's because after thousands of years, even the ones who were poor in the beginning became successful enough to provide for their children and the cycle went one."
I grinned.
"Despite all the years I've lived, I'm still a frog in the well when it comes to certain things. It seems I have to broaden my ways of thinking."
5 days later
It was the day of our departure. The girls were ready to go. We were ready to head to the capital. Eliza was bidding us her sincerest farewells. As we slowly walked out of the city gates, Eliza began breathing heavily. She then looked at her subordinates.
"Make sure that whenever one of them sets foot in here, you treat them with the utmost respect and make sure to come and find me after."
"But boss? Why are you treating these humans so well?"
"Because any one of them won't even need ten seconds to bury this entire city in rubble and...you haven't seen the things I've seen."
"Are you serious boss?"
"Just listen to my words and obey them."
3 days later, Plains
I had just killed a monster moose for us to eat for dinner. We were taking it slow this time and weren't in a rush. We were enjoying the sites Armania has to offer. We explored multiple areas because we knew that this may be the last time we may ever set foot in Armania because...
Wind Dragon Royal Palace of Armania
"YOU MAY NOW BOW DOWN TO THE QUEEN OF THE ELVES, DRAGON QUEEN VISTORIA"
"Pfft..."
