"What is this?" Looking at the stack of yellowed documents in the box in Leonard Ethan's hand, Joan asked curiously, as he found that he didn't seem to recognize the language on it.
"This is a manuscript copied in the Latin alphabet." Leonard Ethan explained, "It is said to contain the location of a hidden treasure, but no one has been able to decipher what's written on it before."
"But why do I feel like this thing's history doesn't go back more than 100 years?" After carefully examining the paper, Joan asked somewhat puzzled. "Could it be a modern buried treasure?"
"No, of course not. This secretive poem has been circulated on a small scale for at least three or four hundred years. What we see now is just one of the copies transcribed by Russian clergy in the early 20th century."
