The Arcane Codex
Kai Thorne, a brilliant AI researcher battling a mysterious illness (multiple sclerosis), uncovers inexplicable "false positives" in his neural diagnostic system. His investigation leads him to the forgotten work of a deceased scientist who theorized the existence of "living code" and a programmable reality system through "structured voice commands."
Kai realizes the potential of this discovery and uses it to cure his own disease, then drastically enhances his biological and cognitive capabilities, becoming a "version 2.0" of himself—with abilities such as levitation, matter duplication, and biological regeneration.
However, he soon discovers he is not alone. Reality is, in fact, a vast interdimensional "operating system" with thousands of users and a cosmic hierarchy, in which he is merely a "local administrator" at the lowest level. The scientist who came before him was eliminated by a "root access" entity.
