Amadeus closed his eyes for a few seconds, his comrade looking at him with intrigue. He could summon someone too? Not everyone has the ability to summon someone. So they could only hope it worked successfully.
Few minutes passed and Amadeus opened his eyes and let out a frustrated grunt. The hopes in their eyes diminished and they looked down casted once more.
"What's wrong? Did it not work?" Robert was the first to ask.
"I tried but it seems something or someone is blocking me. Something's up but I can't pinpoint what it is." Amadeus said with a meaningful gaze.
"Well, we can't stay here and wait for Bruce. We'll find his highness together. He couldn't have gone too far." Lucas reasoned out.
"The question is where to look? We can't just go to some random place! And with the illusion, it would be difficult." Amadeus said and they nodded meaningfully.
Since their prince had disappeared amidst the illusion that had been set by him, he would only go to the place where he knows best. There are only two places he usually visits, they could find him there. He couldn't have gone somewhere else.
"I think I have an inkling on where to find him." Robert said and they looked at him with a gaze that said. 'Lead the way.'
They set out to look for their prince while someone, somewhere was idly sitting with his head rested back and his eyes closed.
....
"Did Beowulf visit this place recently?!" The man asked in a harsh tone that made the middle-aged couple slightly shook in fear. He had never bothered to speak to them in this manner and here he was, standing as though he was going to tear them apart.
"He did visit but he was in a hurry. He didn't mention where he was going." The middle-aged man spoke and Alexander narrowed his eyes on him.
"Trust me, it's the truth." The middle-aged man spoke and Alexander chuckled for a short while before he fixed his intense gaze on the man.
"Trust? Only people who lie and are guilty would tell someone to trust them. Now tell me, where did he go?" Alexander pressed for an answer.
The couple did not say a word and stared back at him. The woman's gaze fell on his stomach which was drenched in blood and a sword was planted right there. The woman gasped loudly and it was then she realized he was hurt.
"Alexander dear, you're hurt. Come let me help." The woman offered but Alexander remained silent. An devilish smile broke out on his lips before he spoke. "I'm sure you're not ready to go to hell. And don't change the topic, you shouldn't be bothered about me." He coldly said to her.
The woman ignored his statement and spoke further. "Who did this to you?! It's too deep." She said with a cracky voice.
"Did your grandson not tell you? Now, stop acting sweet. I know you're aware of where he went, so stop trying to sway the topic." Alexander warned, not minding he was being rude to his very own grandmother.
"We told you. We have no idea. Why don't you trust us this one time? We have nothing to do with your wife's abduction. Beowulf was the one who planned everything." The woman said and it made Alexander anger intensify.
"Speak one more lie and I'll forget the fact that you're my grandmother." Alexander said and his grandfather's eyes widened with this.
"Alexander I'll speak. She's your grandmother." His grandfather pleaded.
"Wilson...." His grandmother muttered but Alexander pushed her to one side, while she shook her head towards her husband.
"Miranda. I'll speak." Her husband told her.
"Speak grandfather. My patience is running out." Alexander said as he pressed for an immediate answer.
Wilson took in a deep breathe before letting it out. He walked towards the window.
"He came here with few men and had asked us to help him in hiding someone." Wilson started before explaining in details what had transpired between the both of them.
"Greetings grandfather." Beowulf said, he appeared to their place unannounced.
Wilson who was picking up something he dropped on the floor was startled.
"What a surprise Beowulf! I didn't know you were coming earlier, I would have arranged something."
"You weren't aware because I did not inform you." Beowulf said and his grandfather set his lips into a thin line.
"What do you want?" Wilson asked as he knew his almighty grandson, the crown prince of the living world visits him without informing him. He knew Beowulf more than anyone else and he knew when he's scheming something sinister. But somewhere it worried him that this time, it wasn't something easy.
"I'm glad I don't have to explain to my grandfather why I came here. I need help on something." Beowulf said but Wilson did not respond immediately. Somewhere at the back of his mind told him to dismiss his grandson, but his curious old self wasn't ready to let go.
"What is it? If it's something I'm capable of I'll be more than willing to help." Replied Wilson.
"Trust me, you're more than capable of helping. It's just a little piece of insect I need to hide here." Beowulf said.
Wilson didn't have a good feeling about it but he still nodded.
"Good. I'll bring her in here. And you can hide in a corner of your attic. Where no one can find her." Beowulf said and Wilson was about to nod but then his mind reflected.
Her? A person? Their kind or a human? Wilson thought to himself.
"Her? What are you up to?" Wilson asked.
"Oh. I forgot to tell you who she is? Alexander's wife, she's an insect , a tiny one who's trying to shift my goals. But she'll be shooed away in no time. No need to worry about her. She's just like a tool for me." Explained Beowulf with a short chuckle at the end.
Wilson did not understand heads or tails what was being said to him. Why would Alexander's wife try to sway him from his goal? And when did his grandson get married? Why was he being involved in their squabbles? He thought to himself.
"Why are you trying to hide her here then? You very well know that Alexander would come here first and he'll search every single place. Why do you have to hide her in my home?" Wilson asked and Beowulf stared at him before he a chuckle escaped his lips.
"You're right. How did I not think of that?" He said blatantly before he turned to the few men who stood behind him and said.
"We're going to frost mount." He said loud enough for his grandfather to hear.
He turned to look at Wilson with a small smile on his lips before turning to leave. "Thank you for your help grandfather." He said and finally left.
"I was confused as to why he came here to seek for help when he knew it would only be futile. I don't know what he's planning but you should find your wife because, when you're one second late, you might lose everything." Wilson explained and Alexander clenched his fists.
"Why didn't you tell me this earlier?" Alexander asked through gritted teeth.
"You know very well I have no intention to involve myself in things that is of no concern to me. It's you brothers fight not mine." Wilson bluntly said and Alexander cursed before he disappeared in a blink.
Miranda who had been silently standing at a corner while shaking her head to keep her husband silent was now looking at her husband with wide eyes.
Her husband turned his gaze to look at her and he noticed her staring at him with wide eyes. "What?" He asked her, as if oblivious to what was going on.
"It was a trap Wil, Beowulf is only trying to trap Alexander. Why did you let him go to frost mount?"
"Trap? What trap?" He asked and his wife gently shook her head.
"They're going to kill him Wil, it was a trap to lure him to frost mount. What should we do?"
"Oh. I had no idea." He said and laid back on a chair beside him.
