"No need? But she's bleeding and I need to stop the bleeding else she'll lose blood." Dianna retorted.
"Yes Alexander, I might lose blood." Elen agreed.
"And who said I'm not aware of that?" He said.
"Then why did yo -"
"I'll do it myself. There's no need to touch my wife." He said and both women glanced at each other in confusion.
"But she's the physician and I'm not sure if you're able to do it." Elen said, still not comfortable that he was the one to do it.
"I'm a prince, Princess Helena. I learn a lot of things just in the case of being alone someday, and this is one thing I've learnt - treating wounds." He explained and Elen's mouth formed an 'O'.
He gave the physician a meaningful gaze and she understood what he meant, she nodded and paid the princess her greetings.
"I'll take my leave now. If you have any problems, I'm free to help out." Dianna said and left.
The room was silent and Alexander picked up the equipments.
Elen gazed at him with hearts in her eyes, just doing simple things like this could make her calm down. How could she get angry when he's acting cute?
"Will you really do it? I mean, you're a prince and you shouldn't be doing these things." Elen said and he gave out a slight smile.
"I'm a prince and you're my wife. It's my responsibility to take care of you when you're hurt." He said and Elen couldn't contain herself anymore and pulled him closer for a tight hug.
"I'm sorry I yelled at you earlier, it wasn't intentional. I'm sorry." She said as she hugged him even tighter, Alexander could feel her warmth spreading through his body and he had to pull away, for he might not be able to control himself.
Elen mistook his actions and creased her brows.
"You don't even want me hugging you?" She asked, the pain in her voice was clear.
"No, wife. I want to hug you but I still need to clean your wounds." He said.
"I'm sorry for misunderstanding you again." She said and he kissed her neck.
"No, you shouldn't apologize, I should be the one to. I didn't consider your feelings whenever I left. I didn't know you were hurting. I'm sorry." He said and Elen was shocked to the core because that was the first time she had ever hear him utter the words 'sorry'. Even Alexander couldn't remember the last time he had said that word that it almost felt strange in his mouth.
"Yes, I'm so -" He was cutoff by a kiss from Elen. It was a short kiss, it merely touched his lips but it sent him an electrocuting sensation in his body. He couldn't believe a simple kiss would make him feel that way. That wouldn't even be considered a kiss, it was a peck but still, he felt the warmth it left on his lips.
"My leg. It still aches." She said, pulling him back from Mars to earth.
"Mm." He said and he started to apply the herbs the physician had brought. His touch was light, not intending to hurt her but it still did. No matter how gentle he was on her, she still winced in pain.
"Does it hurt?"
"A little bit."
He pulled her leg closer as he applied the herbs on it and blew on her legs. Elen curled her toes and closed her eyes, and because he was blowing on it, she didn't have the time to feel the pain, much less think of it.
"Better?" He asked and Elen slightly nodded.
"I still need to wrap them up." He said and she nodded.
He gently wrapped her foot with the bandages the physician had brought, although, it still hurt her, she didn't want to to show it so she could only grit her teeth. She didn't want him to blame himself for hurting her.
After the long process of wrapping up the wound, Alexander finally stood and used the small towel in the table to clean his hands.
"Does it still hurt?" He asked.
"It's much better now that you've treated it."
"Mm. It'll take a few days to heal." He added.
"Thank you." She said and he froze, Elen held her breathe, anticipating what he'll do but at the end, he just gave out a slight nod and a low 'mm.'
She remembered that he had said he didn't want to be thanked at any point in time, yes she remembered that and she still went ahead to risk it. Well, she couldn't help him if he still held some strange rules just because of his past. He had to change those things and slowly accept the normal life he's bound to live. All she wanted right now was to make him free from darkness and make him see the light, he needed to let go off his past for the sake of his happiness. She knew it wasn't easy losing the one you loved most, as she, wouldn't even know what life would be like without him by her side.
