Li Hanzhou looked at the disconnected call, a sly smile at the corner of his brow.
He stretched out a finger and lightly tapped on the glass jar on the desk, chuckling softly, "The kid has quite a temper when she wakes up."
Li Hanzhou carefully straightened the crooked glass jar back to its original position before making a second call to Qiao Yun.
"Speak," Professor Qiao's voice was indifferent.
Li Hanzhou didn't tease her further, "Good news, I've found Gu Ming's assistant."
Qiao Yun had been lazily rolling in bed, but her eyelids snapped open at his words and without surprise, she uttered an "Oh."
Li Hanzhou was dissatisfied with this reaction, having thought he would see the kid's excitement.
Qiao Yun drew back the curtains, the warm morning light spilling onto her fair face as she asked, "How did you find him?"
