Taking his gaze across the room, he found the woman he was looking for. Instantly his anger boiled and his jaw tightened to see she was with a man. He couldn't see his face because the man was turning his back on him.

He walked over to them and stood by the table.

"Ms. Brown," Martin said which made Lucy turn around with a shocked face.

"Ah, you are here too. What is your name?" Martin said seeing that the man was the photographer who was with Lucy this morning.

"Jack Sallow, Sir." Jack said in a friendly manner.

"Are you guys talking about a project?" Martin asked. He stared at Lucy intensely.

"No. We just ate together." Jack answered.

Suddenly Thomas whispered in Martin's ear. And a beautiful woman wearing formal clothes came over to him.

"Mr. Hicks. I'm really surprised you moved the meeting place." Said the woman.

"I'm sorry about this incident, Ms. Jones. I'm just not comfortable with the cafe before. Then let's go to the table there." Martin replied calmly.

Martin felt someone was looking at him sharply. When he got to the table he deliberately sat facing Lucy. And there, he caught Lucy staring intently at him. Her face was displeased and irritated.

Why does she look at me like that? Is she jealous of me? Thought Martin.

From the start of the meeting to the end, Lucy occasionally glanced at him. She is seen talking to Jack but her eyes remain on Martin.

At the end of the meeting, the Martin deliberately approached Ms. Jones and see Lucy's reaction. It turned out that she was getting annoyed and asked Jack to go with her

Wait! I can't let her go with Jack. Thought him.

Without waiting for Ms. Jones leaving first, Martin immediately followed Lucy.

"Come with me," Martin said as he closed the car door that Lucy had opened.

"Sorry, I have an urgent matter to do and Jack will drive me." Said Lucy. Martin could see the lies in Lucy's eyes.

"Mr. Sallow, you can go now," Martin said with a look of intimidation.

"Jack, we'll go together." Said Lucy didn't want to lose.

"Mr. Sallow, you still want to work with me, don't you?" Martin said which made Jack widen his eyes.

With an apologetic gaze at Lucy, the man drove the car away from the cafe.

"Get in my car. Do you want to get in the car by yourself or I will carry you to the car?" Martin said while looking at the woman intensely.

Lucy was silent and chose to walk away from him. But just one step away, Martin immediately carried her on the shoulder, making the woman shrieked in surprise. This suddenly made her head dizzy because she was facing downwards.

"What are you doing? Mr. Hicks, let me down." Lucy protests.

Martin still carried her up and put her in the car. Several people looked at the scene in shock. Martin Hicks carries a woman into his car. A very rare sight.

After Lucy entered, he too came into the car.

"Thomas. We're going to the house." Martin said calmly as if nothing had happened.

"What did you just do? You've embarrassed me. What if a reporter finds out." Lucy said angrily.

"They didn't see your face. Even if the reporters found out, I would silence them." Said Martin easily.

Lucy stared at him in disbelief.

"That's not what you have to worry about now. You have to worry about yourself. You have ignored my orders to stay at the office. What punishment do you deserve?" Martin said, looking her in the eyes.

The man's eyes flashed and a smirk slowly appeared on his face.

"What do you mean? I have the right to go wherever I want. You have no right to control me." Said Lucy in anger.

"From now on I have the right to control you. And I want you to obey everything I say." Said Martin who started getting mad.

"We do not have any relationship. Who are you to control over me? We are only a boss and employees. Nothing more." Lucy replied, glancing at Thomas who was driving. She didn't feel comfortable when someone else heard this conversation.

"Listen! I'll make any connection to you. So stop arguing with me." Martin said while cornering her so that their faces were close to each other.

Lucy's body couldn't move and her breathing became fast. She saw the dark aura from Martin's body. His iris turned slightly reddish.

After a few seconds, Martin pulled away and returned to his seat.
