Snowlight 1, 2206;
The next batch is the Sixth Batch who are about to get chosen to get summoned as many worlds waited in anticipation and excitement...
In a townhouse, a young man, with snowlike skin, black 'scars' on his face that somehow enhanced his looks, white hair, and red eyes sat on his couch with a bunch of papers in his hand and scattered on the coffee table while a mask laid on the side; completely unconcerned about the upcoming selection.
In the first and second selection of 'Chosen' ones, he desired to be one of them, to enter the Internal World. Though he was met with disappointment every single time; so he eventually gave up on it.
As much as he tried fooling himself, a part of him still dreamed that it would finally be his chance; allowing him to travel to the other two planets and meet other races. Only the 'Chosen' ones' were able to do that, hence it made him more envious to explore.
"This year's quarter is going to be good, the influx of new chosen ones being selected will create a surge of users and money..." He said in a calm tone as he looked through different papers reading and outlining. He didn't even spare a single thought about this year's selection but in the back of his subconscious, he was hoping to be picked.
As he continued looking through the papers a slight ding resounded in his mind causing his whole body to become stiff, as the papers in his hands fell to the floor.
It happened... the scenario he heard and watched many times in interviews, along with clients.
"Hahaha"
[You Received An Invitation To Enter The Internal World]
[Do You Wish To Enter?] [Y/N]
A slight transparent panel appeared in front of him.
He continued laughing, as he calmed down and grabbed a mask putting it on. Instantly his appearance changed, his hair remained the same along with his handsome face; the only things that changed were his eyes and 'scars'. His eyes were now blue and his face was clean of his 'scars'. He looked like a completely different person if he had the same eyes as earlier he would like his former self's twin, but since he changed his eyes he looked unrelated to his previous self.
Once he was finished he tapped the screen, and instantly he felt his surroundings change as he found himself in a void; he felt a slight discomfort in his stomach but it vanished instantly.
He simply waited in the endless void as he had a smile on his face, due to feeling a strange comfort hugging him.
[Beggining Soul Assesment]
A monotone voice interrupted his comfort as he was suddenly assaulted by waves of pain. He used his willpower so he wouldn't scream but he couldn't help but release slight whimpering as he dealt with the pain, almost as if his whole body was on fire while thousands of searing hot needles poked his body.

[... Process Successful!]
Soon the pain slowly left his body, he stood up while his body was soaked in sweat.
"Well, that was unheard of..."
He looked at his hands and realized there was a tattoo on his right wrist that was giving him slight discomfort.
'Well at least the tattoo was true, but they never mentioned a system...' he thought as he figured it was probably something forbidden to speak about but he wasn't too sure.
[Transporting To Floor 1... If You Wish To Leave The Tower The Option Is In Your System]
He was slightly confused as he was in deep thought before he looked at his tattoo once more, it showed a black fox eating its tail exactly like a snake eating itself.
He looked at the tattoo before touching it as he thought about the system at the same time and a screen appeared in front of him.

"I knew about the status sheet but they showed it on paper as like a contract... so it might be forbidden to speak about a system? Then my potential is pretty bad... now my bloodline; Kitsune? No way! HAHAH~" Mei started laughing uncontrollably in rejoice, if people saw him right now they would think he was a mental patient.
Mei continued to laugh for a whole 2 minutes before calming down.
"To think I lucked out..." Mei chuckled before he calmed down and started startled mumbling as he scrutinized his system before he was surprised by a certain word.
"Arcanist? Isn't that supposed to be a rare class? So a rare class with bad potential... and a Kitsune" Mei sighed helplessly at his good and bad luck.

[...]
Just like earlier he found himself out of the void, and into a different environment surrounded by other people that were just like him.
Mei remembered what articles and clients told him, he walked out of the hall and into the light.
Mei was surprised by his surroundings once more as there appeared to be multiple medieval-like buildings but one thing that piqued his interest was the multiple tall buildings replicating his world.
He looked up at the sky and figured it would look somewhat fake but he was astonished once more, the sky looked real which surprised him since there was a floor above this one. The sky was clear blue with little clouds and sunshine; from what he could see there was no difference between the Internal world's sky and his world's sky.
He started walking taking in his new environment with a calm look on his face before he saw something that he never thought was possible. A girl... with a tail and cat-like ears! She was in line for something as she looked around.
They accidentally made eye contact, though Mei flashed her a calm attractive smile along with a wink; which caused the cat-girl to blush heavily before turning around instantly.
Mei released a chuckle before he became confused, 'why did I do that...? Does it have to do with my bl-'
"Hey, there brother!" Mei wasn't able to complete his thoughts as he was interrupted by a male wearing chain armor along with a fake smile.
Mei was forced to stop so he didn't bump into the man, he eyed the man up and down before he remembered what he heard in an interview.
He didn't spare another glance at the man, and walked past him though just as Mei walked past him Mei spoke calmly, "E Rank potential..."
That's all Mei said as he continued walking as he heard the man click his tongue in irritation before he too walked away.
Mei lied about his potential because he knew the man would try recruiting him into his guild, and if he spoke his real potential there would still be a slight chance the man would still recruit him even though the chances of that was less than 2%, but Mei wanted to turn that percentage into zero percent.
Though some part of him wanted to trick the man...
Mei continued walking before he stopped and stood in front of a building that read, 'Hunter Association' on the window.
He didn't dally around and went straight in as the usual ding was heard from the door notifying a customer.
"Youngling come here." Said the receptionist as he welcomed Mei, "How may I help you?" the man said with a smile.
Mei liked his attitude and responded in the same way, "I'm here to get a free license."
"That's easy." the receptionist chuckled as he took out a metal card that looked like a driver's license from the counter along with a knife.
"Prick your finger and drop some blood onto it, it shows your name, bloodline, rank, and attributes; this will be your identification for a lot of things including the Hunter License."
Mei nodded as he took the knife and card and proceeded to prick his finger as some blood dropped onto the card. The card released a slight glow before it vanished along with the blood.
"Good other than that feel free to go explore and hunt but I recommend buying a sword or your preferred choice of weapon, you can rent one thought, but that's it younglin'."
Mei shook his head and gave a slight bow to the receptionist before walking out.
'The first five floors are forest zones...' Mei went through everything he remembered as he came out of the store and walked down the road leaving the inner zone, middle, third, and finally the outskirts of the city.
Mei walked past the guards as they ignored each other and continued walking into the forest as multiple other people were all doing the same thing. He looked around and found a light stick with a sturdy figure.
'Perfect.' Mei thought and entered the forest.
- Snap
Mei paused his steps as he heard a twig snapping and spotted a chicken with a horn on its head.
They locked eyes with each other and stared in silence.
'I guess chickens aren't chickens...' Mei mentally chuckled.
The chicken finally ran out of patience after a few seconds and ran towards Mei.
'It's surprisingly fast.' Mei was slightly surprised by its speed but easily dodged. The chicken was starting to get irritated and leaped in the air aiming at his chest.
Swish!
Puchi!
"Braawk~" The chicken let out a cry of death as the stick punctured its chest dying in one hit.

The chicken remained on the ground before it disappeared in a puff of smoke. Mei wasn't surprised as a monster's body either disappeared or remained which then can be used as food and materials, including their cores which can be sold for quite a lot of money.
Mei looked at the stick and found blood on the end of it, he was going to wipe it off but stopped midway and continued walking into the forest, 'The blood can be useful to draw monsters towards me...'

Within an hour, Mei killed more chickens but he found it harder to find the chickens.
"Grrrr..."
Mei stopped in his tracks, he knew what the monster that growled was, and fear crept into his heart before it disappeared, but he still pretended to be afraid.
'Skill?'
Mei acted as if he was frozen in place as a grey wolf jumped out of the bushes it was a young adult or maybe about to be a young adult as it was only 80cm in height and adult wolves were about a meter high.
The wolf didn't hesitate and jumped at Mei.
Mei didn't panic but waited to time his attack, tricking the wolf into thinking its skill was still in effect; once it was halfway from him, Mei abruptly slashed his stick.
"Wooooo!~" The wolf let out a pained howl as the stick slashed its eye making it lose half its vision. Mei didn't let the wolf gain its bearings and entered the blind spot of the wolf as it was yelping in pain and swung his stick once more towards its neck.
Swish!
Puchi!
[+25 Exp]
The wolf's body didn't disappear as it laid lifelessly on the ground as blood gushed out of its neck; Mei took a few seconds to calm his erratic breathing.
Once he calmed his breathing he picked up the bloody wolf and exited the forest heading towards the city, he gained a few looks from players but Mei ignored them and entered the city once more.
He garnered even more looks when he entered the city especially from the females but he still ignored everyone and entered the Hunter's Association.
-Ding!
"Welcome, Youn- OH?!" The man stopped his sentence as he slammed his desk in glee, "Bring it!"
Mei chuckled at the man's way of behavior and walked to the man and dumped the wolf's corpse on his desk. The man took it to the back and came back with a tray.
"Well that was surprising haha, any way you got; one fang, the skin, and the meat along with some miscellaneous stuff; in total 6 silver." The man said as he placed 6 silvers on the counter.
Mei nodded and grabbed the silver on the counter putting it in his pocket, he then bowed once more and left the building, and walked to the outskirts of the city. He looked around the outskirts and eventually spotted what he was looking for, a weapon shop.
