We met with Amir outside of the spa then decided to eat lunch. Ms. McCrae decided on Kazakh cuisine and Amir and I agreed.
We entered into a warm and homey restaurant. I led the way to a table in the corner of the room.
"I'm getting the beshbarmak and shurpa," Ms. McCrae announced after leafing through the menu.
I raised a hand to signal one of the waiters.
"A bowl of shurpa and a serving of beshbarmak please. For the lady. As for me, a serving of beshbarmak also and lagman soup and pelmeni. How about you Amir?"
"Beshbarmak and shurpa for me too. Also, archichuk salad for appetizer."
"I've never tried that before. Is that good?" Ms. McCrae asked him.
"Yes Miss. It's tasty and it smells good."
"Okay. One archichuk salad for me too," she turned to the waiter.
The waiter went through our orders again then went on his way.
