Chapter 69 - Chapter 69

Rose's POV

All of a sudden, the sky started to get black and black thunder struck my wings and I fell to the ground. It was so quick that I didn't have time to react. Upon seeing me fall to the floor and my wings were torn, red blood oozing out from them.

I gritted my teeth and stood on my feet but fell to the floor again when another thunderbolt struck me. Before another one could hit me again, I set a protective shield around me but it was no use as the thunderbolt struck past the shield and hit me.

Hecate and everyone from the other side were laughing like crazy beasts and I tried my best to stand up when another rumble was heard and I closed my eyes, preparing for it but I never felt the pain. Instead, a groan was heard and when I looked up, Tyler was hugging me from behind, taking the thunder.

I held his limp body in my arms and he was unconscious from the impact. Even I could barely take the strike with the help of my magic power but he's just a werewolf. Why did he take the hit?

"Aw, what a sweet love bird! Too bad, he's way too blinded by his love." Hecate said sarcastically and I glared at her.

HOW DARE SHE!

Placing Tyler gently on the ground, I stood up on my feet and screamed which made the sky clear up and rumble louder than her black thunder.

I clenched my fist and golden thunderbolts struck where vampires were gathered, successfully encaging everyone inside the thunder as they screamed in agony.

I raised my hand and the thunder started to grow even brighter as it hit Hecate and Chris countless times.

I wasn't done torturing them but the sky cleared and someone descended from the sky, blue light surrounding him.

"Hecate, return to heaven now. The emperor returned and you need to get ready for the welcome ceremony." I glared at him as he gave that bitch a chance to escape.

Hecate had several scratches and she could still fly even after all the thunder strikes and I clenched my teeth.

Is that the true power of a deity? But I will never give into her!

Chris too got up from the ground and Hecate passed him some of her power before she left and I glared at him who was smiling at me even though he was bleeding everywhere.

Chris started to gather his power with the help of a little support from Hecate and the black ball grew bigger and bigger. I don't think I have much energy left to block that attack but I am sure he will run out of his power after he launches that attack.

I also started gathering my own spiritual energy and by the time I gathered half of the power of the ball, Chris threw it at me and I had no choice but to try my best to counterattack with all the energy left in me.

My power was getting fainter but the black ball didn't seem to get smaller. I bit my lips hard as I tried to hold on.

'Is this the end? Am I gonna lose?' I thought but shook the negative thoughts off my mind when a solution popped in my head.

'NO! You can't do that! You already spent too much of it trying to save Luciano!' Layla tried to stop me but she couldn't when golden chains held her back.

Taking a deep breath, I closed my eyes and focused on the little power that was left in me and it started to double as my body felt like it was engulfed in flames. Gritting my teeth, I tried my best to not let my mind wander.

I opened my eyes when I didn't feel myself in danger anymore. Chris stood at the other end, his eyes as wide as a saucer and as much as my body was yelling at me to stop whatever I was doing and let it rest, I let out a smirk before gathering more forces with the help of whatever was left for me to use.

Chris stepped back as I started to glow with golden lights and golden flames appeared on both of my palms. Stretching out my arms, the flames shot at Chris who was about to run but held down by my vines.

His loud and agonizing scream filled the air and I watched him struggling inside the flame, on his knees asking me to have mercy on him. I watched him as the flames got stronger and he was on the floor, barely breathing as he asked for help, barely above a whisper.

The golden flames were lifted when there was no sign of Chris left as dark, black ashes flew above the sky. The vines were lifted and Vampires looked at me with horror.

When I smirked, their faces got so pale that they dropped to their knees.

"Please have mercy on us. We were cast a spell by Hecate and Chris and whatever we did was because of the spell we were under. You're our savior and we will serve you for the rest of our lives." One of the vampires spoke, taking several steps ahead but was held down by one of the vampires in armor.

Everyone in shabby clothes on their knees and kowtowed while the ones in silver armors went around to slash their throats. They are probably the underling of Chris. I was about to raise my hand and give my warriors orders, I heard a groan and whipped my head around to see Tyler coughing in the arms of the warriors.

I ran to him and held his face gently in mine as I waited for him to gain consciousness and the warriors circled around me to protect me from any possible danger.

"You're awake." I smiled at him and he grabbed the hand that held one of his cheeks and he smiled at me weakly.

"Are you ok?" He asked and I nodded my head as tears were starting to gather in my eyes. After whatever he's gone through, he's worried about me.

"I have things to deal with and when I am done, we will spend the whole year in bed, cuddling. What do you say?" I said and he smiled through pain, with his eyes closed.

"Sound like a perfect plan. I will wait for you then." He said and went limp as he lost consciousness again.

"Take him to the castle." I ordered one of the warriors and he shifted before sprinting off to the kingdom. I then turned around and they made way for me as I walked towards the troops of vampires.

Halting my steps, I raised my hand and pointed at the vampires before commanding them to take them down.

"Kill every single one of them and let them know what are the consequences of hurting our loved ones. Don't let any single one of them escape." I ordered and I could hear snarls from behind me before I was met with murder scene.

Trusting my warriors, I didn't feel the need to stay there anymore as I turned around to get to the kingdom. When I was on the verge of falling to my knees from exhaustion, Layla broke the chains and shifted, before sprinting to the castle and trusting all the work to my people, I let the darkness take over my consciousness as I was too tired, fighting with it all this while.
