Rose's POV
A week has passed and I've recovered completely. A lot has changed after the war and Tyler has been responsible for all the work as I was bedridden for four days. Thankfully, after resting for a week, I've got almost all of my powers back.
Obviously, my body didn't feel as energetic as before because I've spent a hundred years of my lifetime, including the ones I've spent for Luke and barely a hundred years is left for me. But I am sure it's long enough for me to live happily with my parents and Tyler, looking after the kingdom.
My parents were crying by my bed for the whole week and they never left my side. My mom even accompanied me to the bathroom and it was starting to get on my nerves. But on the other hand, I understand why they're doing this.
No parents in the world would be happy to see their children die before they do. After all, my parents have barely lived one third of their life. They still have alot of time ahead of them and so I don't blame them.
I sighed in annoyance as my mom knocked on the bathroom door after I kicked her out. She kept on asking if I was doing fine in here.
Letting out a huff of annoyance, I flushed the toilet and walked out. I walked to my study and a certain someone kept following me and I spun around.
"MOM!"
"I am on my way to the kitchen!" She yelled over her shoulder as she sprinted past me and I let out a chuckle.
Shaking my head, I entered my study and Tyler was there, sitting on my desk, going through the files. Upon seeing me, he smiled brightly and I went to hug him from behind.
"Babe, you don't have to do this." I sat on his lap and he smiled at me before tucking my loose curls behind my ear and pecking my lips.
"Sweety, stop whining and take some rest. You haven't recovered yet." He cooed and I melted in his arms. However, before I could protest, he brought his index finger around my lips and shut me up.
"I love you, sweetheart. I love you so much and I would rather get my soul disappear from this world than to let you get hurt." He buried his head in my chest and whimpered. Upon seeing how traumatized everyone'd been, I felt guilty and hugged Tyler tightly.
"I love you too and don't you dare utter such a horrible sentence. I am heartbroken just by hearing it." I stroked his soft brown hair and he sighed in content.
"Oh, and babes! Jessica is getting married!" I cried in joy as I snatched my phone out of my pocket and showed him the picture of Jess's wedding ring.
"I am so happy for her. She told me that the wedding's gonna be held in three months after she gets her work done and all. Gosh, she's getting married. I can't believe this." I said dreamily and Tyler sat me up straight.
"Do you wanna have a double wedding?" I stared at him in shock and he tilted his head, waiting for my response and I broke out from my trance a few seconds later.
"OMG! YESS!" I jumped off Tyler's lap and started running here and there like a little kid who got a whole suitcase of chocolate and sweets.
"You're serious, right?" When he nodded his head, I yelled again before running around, leaving Tyler to chuckle on the seat.
"But where's my ring?" I asked, turning around to face him and my smile faded when he wasn't sitting on the chair but was on his knees, a stunning ring held in his hands.
"Be my wife, Rosalind. I love you and I want to spend the rest of my life with you. I realized how miserable I would be without you for ninety-three hours lying on bed, unconscious. Will yo-" Before he could finish, I snatched the ring from him and jumped on him.
"YES! YES!" While hugging him, I admired the ring, which was the most beautiful ring I've ever seen. It was a princess cut grey diamond ring with several other diamonds surrounding it.
"It's so pretty." I whispered and he lifted me up from the ground which made me wrap my legs around him in instinct as I admired the ring that fit perfectly in my finger.
"Not as pretty as the one wearing it." I blushed upon his remark and he led me somewhere else. I then realized he was taking us to our room and I still hadn't calmed my adrenaline enough because I barely contained my excitement in.
Tyler laid me gently on my bed and I smiled at him. He started to strip off and I frowned but squealed when he tackled me to the bed, knocking the breath out of me. He spooned me and held my hand which had the beautiful ring in it. He held my hand the kissed it.
"My precious queen." He muttered and I turned around. I snuggled into him and hugged him. I can seriously cuddle like this for the rest of my life.
"Get some sleep, love. You've worked enough." I reached up and kissed his forhead when he yawned. He nodded and closed his eyes, soft snores escaping his mouth as he fell asleep. And I just lay there, in his arms, admiring his perfect eyebrows, eyelashes and plump lips. He was so perfect and I stroked his hair as he slept.
"I love you." I whispered and fell asleep.
------------------------
I opened my eyes and the room was pitch dark. I stretched my arms but Tyler wasn't there. I turned on the lamp on my nightstand and found a note there. It said he left with one of the generals to discuss some matter.
Laying back on the bed, I unlocked my phone as I started to type my excitement away, letting Jess know that we can have a double wedding. We were gossiping and planning our wedding plans when I felt a chill out of nowhere.
Turning on the light in the room, I found no one and I jumped into bed when Jess facetimed me. We gushed and talked for god knows how long till I was summoned down for dinner. After saying goodbyes to Jess and changing to my sports bra and yoga pants, I walked out of the room.
I gasped when the hallways were lit up with small candles and rose petals. Smiling to myself, I walked down the stairs, whichw as cleaned and set up with different decors.
Looks like Tyler didn't go to talk to a general but prepared all this for me.
Before taking a step further, I turned around and walked back to the room. After locking the door, I ran to my closet and fished for some fashionable clothes. I didn't want to look like a shabby girl after Tyler's done so much for me.
Finally deciding with a decent golden evening gown, I quickly did my hair, brushed my teeth, sprayed some perfume and checked myself on the mirror for billion times before running out the door and slowly walking down the stairs as if I didn't go crazy back in the room to look flawless in such a less amount of time.
I walked towards the path and it led to a balcony outside. Candlelight dinner welcomed me along with the back of a pretty gentleman holding out a bouquet of roses for me. Tyler got on his knees, offering me the bouquet and I grinned ear-to-ear.
The night was perfect as I watched the beautiful night sky with Tyler along with delicious dishes filling my stomach and talking to him as we talked about our honeymoon and wedding plans. It was the happiest day in my life and I will never forget it.
Well, I am sure even better days are waiting for me. For instance, my wedding night and somewhere in the future when our precious little pups will be born and they get married but for now, I was beyond content with everything in my life.
But who would have known, it was the calm before the storm.
