Rose's POV
Today is probably the first day in my life where I've felt this nervous, happy, excited, clammy and a whole lot fucking nervous at the same time. I was pretty well-known for having countless mood-swings in my friend circle so it was pretty normal for me to go through several feelings at the same time but today was different. I couldn't even pinpoint what my feeling was at this point.
A few days ago, we had gathered people to let them know about the truth behind the royal family. All of them were shocked and refused to believe but when they saw my parents, they had no choice but to believe in the story.
There were some people who burst out crying and hugged me and my parents to death, most of them being women and men in their late 60s. Young people on the other hand, had a hard time accepting the fact.
And today is my fucking coronation. I had dark circles under my eyes because of the three hours' sleep I got yesterday thanks to my brain who refused to sleep and displayed the possibility of me embarrassing myself infront of the whole werewolf world. Well, it certainly had me awake the whole day.
So, the moment my mom and Jade barged into my room to wake me up, I simply looked like an animal who lived in the jungle the whole life. Adding fuel to the fire, my mom had to rant and fuss about how we only had six hours to the coronation and I had so many things to do to look pretty.
So, dozens of hairdressers and stylers were called to the palace to make me 'Pretty'. As if it was my fault I took after my mom. Hence, I've been multitasking for the past few hours. People were gathered around me, doing their job and I sat there, going through the vow I was to make at my coronation.
'Hey, calm down. You don't have to go through that boring vow. You can just let me have control and I will take care of the matter.' Layla said in my head, calming me a bit.
'Are you sure you can do that?' I asked her to confirm it and she nodded her head in confidence.
'Alright.' I sighed but kept on reading the vow, in case I couldn't let her take over and had to say it relying on my brain who just declined to do its job and got some sleep at the wrong time.
This morning, I only ate a bowl of fruit because everyone told me I had to look good in the dress and I couldn't let others see my flat yet chubby stomach. At least they didn't call it fat because if they did, I would have gone for their throat.
"You're all set, your majesty." A person said beside me and I thanked her before getting up from the seat but sitting down again when I couldn't feel my legs. Damn, how long have I been sitting here? I can't feel my precious butt and legs.
After massaging and stretching for a while, I limped out of the room where my mom and Jade were busy talking about something. They didn't even know I was approaching them till I cleared my throat to catch their attention.
"OMG! Is this my daughter?" My mom almost yelled as she sprinted towards me, making me roll my eyes. "Rose, you look so pretty." Jade complimented me with a smile and I returned the smile after thanking her.
"Now, let's get you inside the gown." My mom said after walking around me a couple of times as if admiring the work of the people she'd hired or her daughter who took after her.
"Alright." I mumbled reluctantly but the very moment I saw the dress, my jaw hit the floor. I gotta say the dress was so effing pretty; it was so pretty to the point that I couldn't express them in words. But what got my jaw dropping to the floor was when about twenty maids entered the room with a piece of layer of the gown in their hands.
I almost fainted on the spot when I imagined myself wearing twenty layers of cloth and walking around. What's going on in my mom's head? Does she want me to die from sweating or from suffocating? How can one wear that many layers of cloth?
With only one thing on my mind, I ran out of the room, leaving me mom, Jade and maids run after me. I doubt they would get me with their short asses. After all, I've been training for three years.
"Ump." I almost fell to the floor but I maintained my balance with the help of a wall by my side. When I looked up, I saw the face of my dad and Jack. I hid my surprise and shyly waved at them, hoping that they didn't know anything about me running and let me keep going, anywhere but where my mom is.
"Hey dad. Hey Jack." "Hello hun." "Greetings, your majesty." Jack said and I waved my hands at him after telling him to drop the formalities.
"Alright. I gotta get going. See you guys soon." i waved and stepped away from them. I was about to make a run when my dad's voice caught me frozen on the place.
"Where do you think you're going, princess? Don't you have your coronation in two hours?" I turned around and smiled at him, kinda relieved that he didn't know that I was running away.
"Well, that's enough time for me to get dressed. After all, I've my make-up and hair done." I tried my best with my acting as I shrugged at the end.
"Is it? Well, that's not what I heard. I heard you're running away, aren't you?" My dad neared me and that's when I realized he was just playing with me. Gotta run.
I turned around as fast as I can and ran but to be stopped by Jack standing infront of me in an instant and something tugging me from behind.
Shit!
