Kayleigh's pov
I sat in the balcony looking at the setting sun with purple orange hues, the breathtaking view did nothing to ease my pain. I continued to drink wine from the bottle until my eyes fell heavy, heavy enough to help me drift off to sleep. The next morning sun rays fell on my face making cringe in my sleep, I slid out of bed and walked to Haley's nursery next door; I twisted the doorknob to open the door to find an empty crib, It was then that the realisation hit me. Disappointed I walked back to my room and stood in the shower, letting the tears stream down my face with the running water. After being satisfied that there are no more tears left for the day, I got out of the shower and put on clothes. I walked over to the kitchen counter to pour myself some coffee and fixed a sandwich; I picked up my phone to find 'n' number of missed calls from my friends and Eddie. Ignoring them I opened the photo gallery to look at Haley's pictures, there he was amongst the multiple pictures of Haley, I caressed the screen in which he was sleeping besides Haley. They both looked so adorable, a small smile played on my lips in admiration. After I finished my breakfast, I went back to my room to put on a bikini and a long white top over it. I walked through the back gate to enter the beach, my feet buried in the soft sand calming my nerves at least a little. Taking a deep breath, I strolled towards the other side of the beach, the wind blew making my top flow and messing my hair which only made me lose deeper in thoughts. As I walked further I noticed few people now lying on the beach sand but I didn't really look at them, instead I continued to walk where my feet took me. The more I walked, the more people I found relaxing on the beach, I had a weird feeling in the pit of my stomach but I chose to ignore it thinking it must be all the wine I have been drinking these days. I heard 'Someone' calling out my name, I stopped for a second shaking my heading so I stop hallucinating and continued to walk. I walked few more steps and I heard my name being called out again along with a baby screaming 'mommy'; tears welled up in my eyes as I turned around to see him standing few feet away from me holding Haley in his arms and looking as handsome as ever even with the dark circle under his eyes.
I froze on the spot as he walked over to me, looking straight in my eyes with admiration and a small smile playing on his lips all along. He stopped inches away from me and raised his free hand to caress my face pulling me in a warm heart warming kiss; my lips refused to move for a millisecond wondering if this was real but eventually gave in to the heart warming kiss. We pulled apart, I took Haley in my arms with tears streaming down my face and kissed all over her face. I looked in front of me to see him gone until I heard a fake cough. I looked down to see Eddie sitting on one knee with tears clouded in his eyes and a smile on his lips making me gasp while he spoke with a hint of stammer, "Kayleigh Jane Stevens" he let out a nervous chuckle and continued, "I am not sure if the words I say will do any justice to what or how I feel about you but I will try my best. Ever since you walked out of Our house the first time, I felt that there is something different about you. I have never been in love before, so I tried everything in my power to avoid that feeling, the thought of you being with someone else devastated me and made me even more miserable. I am sorry for all the pain I put you through, if only I could turn back time and make things different but if I would have done that then we wouldn't be standing here right now. I am sorry I was scared to let you in my heart but turns out you were there all along. I am sorry for not being the perfect man you deserve to be with. I know I am not perfect for you but there is one thing I can promise you, love and happiness because you are the girl I can never leave behind. So Kayleigh Stevens will you marry me again 'for love' and make me the happiest man in the universe?" I gasped as tears still flew down my face, the moment I nodded he got up on his feet, lifted me up in the air and twirled in joy. He let me stand on my feet and hugged me tightly. Before I know I am being enveloped in a huge group hug by my friends. That is when I realised that I was so busy looking at Eddie that I failed to notice someone taking Haley from his arms and now she was in Jay's arms bursting in to the fit of giggles.
