Chapter 4 - Departure

A few moments before

"Looks like I'm nearing the end again. I really don't have a choice this time. It'd be simple if it was just me dying but mom and Gaia will also die if this planet gets destroyed. Hehe who would've thought the once mighty Volkarin would care about other people. The twins would flip if they heard this hehehe. Even though there's a very slim chance this will succeed, I have to try it."

As the ball of destruction clashed with Michael, he tried to absorb as much of the energy as possible in it. His core couldn't handle the strain of a forced breakthrough and his body was shattering apart. In a last ditch attempt, he weaved a sign

"Y-Yang Eye OPEN!"

He directed all of his energy into his right eye so that he can try to purify the energy with it.

"DEITY ARTS: HEAVENLY PURIFICATION"

A golden light surrounded Michael as the energy of the chi ball got purified and absorbed. His left eye still had the Kaminome 5th stage active so that he could spot subtle changes in the structure of the chi ball. He continued absorbing the energy. Normally he would've exploded by now but to prevent that, he began fusing with it. This is the riskiest part of the procedure. If he fails to fuse with the energy around him, he will explode and perish from existence entirely. Michael increased the rate of the fusion. He doesn't have the luxury of carefully pulling through this. If Kisarin adds more of his energy to the ball, the structure of it will change and Michael will be in grave danger.

Outside the ball

Kisarin was looking down and he began wondering what's taking so long for the ball to reach the core.

"I'm pretty sure this planet isn't so big that it would take this long for my Sphere of Destruction to reach the core...looks like it's almost there."

From Kisarin's viewpoint, it appeared that his attack was heading deeper but it was the opposite. It was getting smaller. Kisarin began flying off.

"Looks like this world is done for. I should look for another planet to recover for no-"

An explosion occured and a golden light shown very brightly. After a while, the light ceased and in the centre of it was Micharl who was completely gold from his skin to his hair. Although it was faint, the symbol of Yin and Yang could be seen in his pupils. His iris was a yellow-white colour while his sclera, the outer part of the eye was a yellow-red. Michael looked like he was on fire as the chi surrounding him flicked about. It was incredibly dense. The earth around him was crumbling away and he was heavily affecting the weather and invoking natural disasters.

"If I stay here any longer, this planet will suffocate under my chi."

Michael looked up to see Kisarin shaking and sweating. Michael then rushed towards Kisarin and punched him in the face.

"I didn't even see him move at all. He's beyond me now. I have to run. I can't maintain my transformation any longer."

Michael then proceeded to land a barrage of punches and kicks. Kisarin tried to evade but it always looked like he was deliberately putting himself in harm's way. Michael grabbed Kisarin's throat, burning it with a massive density of yang energy. He flew up into the atmosphere with Kisarin. He grabbed his throat tighter.

"You brought this on yourself little brother. I have to kill you in order to protect this place since it's the home of the two people I care about. You're a threat to them. If I leave you alive, you'll destroy them someday. I'd atleast leave your soul to reincarnate but I can't take any chances this time."

Kisarin tried to mutter something but Michael would only grab his throat tighter. He snapped his throat and pierced his gut. He then proceeded to land a fury of punches to his gut and finally kicked him away. Michael then charged up a huge ball of yang energy and hurled it towards Kisarin. Before the ball reached Kisarin, Michael teleported behind him and hit with his palm laced with yang energy in order to push him towards the huge yang energy ball. He wasn't taking any chances. He hit him with multiple blasts of yang energy and as the ball finally got close enough, Michael teleported away.

"This should end everything."

Kisarin was engulfed in the ball and his body was shredded to pieces. As the ball exploded, his soul was also erased. Although the explosion was contained, a bright flash eminated. It lasted for a few minutes before receding. Michael knew his time was almost up. His physical body was already destroyed beyond commission. It can't house his soul anymore. Right now he's just a a huge ball of energy that's slowly dying out like a star. He has a few minutes at most before he dies. He descended back to Earth once he had expanded enough energy not to be fatal to Earth. Gaia woke up to see Michael sitting next to her.

No words were needed to be said. She knew what was going on with Michael right now. She simply hugged him.

"When will you come back to me again?"

Michael looked at her with a solemn look.

"I don't know. It's complicated."

Gaia became angry.

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN COMPLICATED. JUST REINCARNATE AND COME BACK TO ME YOU BASTA- just come back...please."

Michael knew he couldn't tell her then and there. The truth of what's about to happen to him.

"Sure. I'll come back. I promise."

Michael then stood up. The wasteland before him was phenomenal. Massive dozen kilometre deep craters littered what used to be a beautiful city. Void cracks were in abundance and Michael knew these would cause problems should he leave them like that. Problem is, he doesn't have enough energy to destroy all of them.

"I'll seal them then. Since anything can come out of those voids, it's better to temporarily seal them."

He began weaving signs.

"VOID ARTS: VOID SUPPRESSION SEAL"

Every void was now being sealed and Michael expanded the last of the energy he had. He was now pale and looked like a ghost. His physical body was barely holding together. It was simply a husk that was being held together by chi. He looked at Gaia.

"While I'm gone, I need you to do something. The void suppression seal can only last for a hundred years at most. I'll need you to train warriors to prepare for whatever will come out of there. I'll try and come back as soon as possible after I reincarnate but i-"

Gaia moved in to kiss him. It was a final goodbye. After a few seconds, Michael's body became hard and flaky. Gaia opened her eyes to see a white statue in front of her. Michael has died. Tears formed in her eyes.

"I already know you can't reincarnate a third time and still remember me you idiot. But, if it's you...maybe."

Michael's soul was in the emptiness of space far away as it zipped passed multiple planets looking for suitable wombs to reside in. Michael was unconscious of this fact since this is the price he has to pay for using the reincarnation art a second time. The first time was fine. He could keep his memories and he could control where he wanted to reincarnate. The second time which is now, negates all those advantages. His soul will travel randomly and his memories will be sealed. He can't enter the reincarnation channel since he is now considered a rogue soul and would be instantly obliterated. Normally, he would already be reincarnated but since he is a very powerful soul with over millions of years of life, no normal womb can house him. As such, he had to wonder the universe for a hundred years. His soul finally arrived at a planet three times bigger than Earth. It was called Planet Serenity. It had 6 major continents, all linked by a strip of land and islands. There was the Southern, Northern, Eastern, Western and Central Continents. To the east were the cultivators, to the west the mages, to the north the druids and to the south the warriors. The Central continent housed the demons and this is where Michael's soul was headed. It had detected a strong enough womb for him to reincarnate in. It was the womb of a demon beast, a lioness.

"Catch it! CATCH IT BEFORE IT ESCAPES!"

Five humans were hunting it down across the forest. The lioness was already wounded from the poison arrows. It soon collapsed

"HAHAHA WE'RE ALMOST THERE BOYS."

"WE'RE GONNA BE RICH AFTER THIS."

"I CAN'T WAIT TO SLICE AND DICE IT'S FLE- KARGH!!!"

Out of nowhere, a woman began slashing their necks. She went over to the next one and killed him. She was discreet like a professional assassin.

"Huh? Where's number five?"

As the one who asked the question turned back to look at the front, he found out he was now alone.

"C-Captain?!?!?"

Before he could utter another word, he was killed. The woman appeared besides the dying lioness and knelt down with an emotionless expression. She spoke to herself

"Should I end it quickly for you or should I remove the poison and let you die in peace?"

Before she could decide, the lioness was covered by a white light and she morphed into a human.

"Please let me live longer. I already know I'm about to die but I don't want my unborn child to follow me."
