"Ah!" Jeff yelled as he grabbed his left arm shoulder. Henko turned his head to look upwards. He saw Jeff holding his shoulder that was dripping with blood. He was staring at someone, and when Henko followed the man's gaze, his eyes went wide. "So, you did decide to show up." Jeff grinned at the man.
"Let him go." Ivan spoke in a deep voice. Henko saw that Ivan had brought along his two men. One of them was holding a gun to Aarons head while another was facing the opposite direction. Possibly to make sure that there were no attacks coming from behind. Henko had a feeling that neither of the men shot Jeff. So who? Henko looked at Ivan. He held a gun that was facing the man in front of him. A scowl could be seen on his face.
He actually came. Henko thought to himself. He couldn't help but smile a little bit.
"I can't believe that you want this fag. It's a fag dressed as a woman. Or are you the faggot. Do you like this? Do you fuck him while he's dressed as a girl so you don't feel like a fag yourself?" Jeff turned to kick Henko. Henko winced ready for the pain that was going to be impaled on his body. However, there was no pain, instead a gunshot was heard, and the man fell to the floor. Henko looked at Jeff and saw that he was shot through the right thigh. "What the fuck…" Jeff spat out. Ivan walked over to Jeff, gun still in his hand. He kicked the man in head making him fall onto his back. Blood was gushing from his nose. Ivan never took a look at Henko, he actually ignored him.
"How dare you touch something that belongs to another!" Ivan walked closer to Jeff and stepped on his left shoulder that the gun had hit and started to rub his foot into the man's wound. Piercing screams came out of Jeff as his wound was stepped on. "What gave you the right to take what was mine?" Ivan didn't really ask it; it was more of a statement. Ivan just kept his weight on the man's injury, digging his foot in it as hard as he could.
"Mark." Ivan spoke out. The man that had a gun to Aarons head spoke out in response.
"Yes sir!"
"Take care of that man and then both of you get Henko out of here." Ivan pressed harder on the man's wound to make his scream out in pain. He used his other hand to push the foot off, yet his strength wasn't enough. "I will take care of this man."
"Understood." Both men spoke. Henko was excited but frightened as well. He wanted to leave out of this place as soon as possible. Another gun shot was heard. Henko knew it didn't come from Ivan. He looked over at the other Mark and saw Aaron's lifeless body lying on the floor. The blood was surrounding his head. Henko knew the man was just shot directly in the head. He was in shock of what he was witnessing. The two men rushed over. One of the men worked on the ropes on Henko's feet while the other worked on Henko's wrists. Henko rubbed his sore wrists that were now free. He pulled up his ripped dress and tried his best to cover himself with it.
"Henko." Ivan spoke out. Henko looked over to Ivan. Still standing on top of Jeff, he took off his Jacket. His gun was still aiming at the man, even during the hand switch. He held his hand out that was holding the jacket towards Henko. "Take it." He spoke. Henko reached for the Jack. He put it around his shoulders. It was extremely big on him. He didn't button it; Henko just used his hands to hold the jacket closed. "Take him and get out of here." The two men nodded and escorted Henko outside of the room. When they exited, Henko heard another gunshot go off and the man screaming. Henko stopped to look back but was ushered forward by one of the men.
Once outside of the abandoned building, Henko looked at where he was being held. He never had been in this part of the town. It looked like the building that was several hundred years old. The windows were boarded up and weeds were all over the house and lawn. No one took care of the place. Tears fell from Henko's eyes. He was surprised that Ivan actually came. Henko wiped his eyes and saw his makeup smeared with mascara. He didn't have much makeup on, but he knew that he had to look like crap. He wanted to leave, but he also wanted to thank Ivan for showing up to his rescue. If not, it could be worse. He could be dead by now. He smiled, tears were still falling.
"Why do we have to be here?" Mark spat.
"We are told what to do. We never question it." Devan spoke out.
"But why are we taking care of this queer. We don't have time for this. The boss has to meet his fiancé today. They are supposed to get all wedding preparations taken care of today. Instead, we are taking care of this freak." Henko heard Devan sigh.
"I understand where you're coming from but…" He stopped as Henko held Ivan's jacket in front of him.
"I will not keep you gentlemen anymore." Henko spoke as softly as he could. Devan took the jacket.
"You're leaving. The boss will not be happy." Henko tried to make a smile. His jaw hurt, but he was still managed to get it to show.
"I will be fine." He bowed and began to walk away from the men. Neither one said a word as Henko got farther away from them.
Fiancé. I'm so stupid. Henko couldn't help but let the tears fall. The man was about to get married, but he still came to his rescue. Why would he do that? Henko was more confused to what Ivan wanted. He could tell that the men were upset by their boss even coming to his rescue. He can't be with the man anymore. He doesn't want to be with a man that will be tied down to a woman. Woman? Was he a substitute to this woman that he was about to marry? Did he just have sex with him so he wouldn't get into trouble? He knew that in the Yakuza world, that many had not only a wife, but several mistresses on the side was well. Was he supposed to be the mistress? The kind of mistress that wouldn't demand to get married or the kind that couldn't get pregnant. Was that he was? He didn't want to be that. He may not be able to have a family, but he sure as hell was not going to be someone's second in their eyes. He wanted to be their first only. Tears were still pouring out of his eyes. He didn't want to continue this relationship, this relationship that had no name.
