"I'm not sure." There were not many people that come to his place. Maybe it was someone at the wrong apartment. He would get rid of that person so he could get back to what they were doing. Henko made his way to the door and made sure that his clothes were back in place. He opened the door a little to see who it was. "How can I hel—" Henko stopped in midsentence. His eyes were wide with shock of who was standing on the other side of the door. Blue eyes stared down at Henko's brown ones.
"Are you going to let me in?" The sound of the man's voice ran through Henko's body.
"I…Ivan…. what are you doing here? How did you?" Henko questioned.
"Do I need permission to see you? It's been a month since we lost saw each other. You disappeared that night, even though I told you that you needed to stay there.
"You haven't said anything or even tried to show up at the bar." Henko spoke. His voice was not as steady as he wanted it to be.
"I had other things I had to take care of. I can't always be by your side." Those words spoke so much truth that Henko already understood fully well.
"That's right. You can't be by my side. I don't want to force you to be with me when you already have someone else." Henko almost yelled out.
"Huh? What the fuck are you talking about?" Ivan put his hand onto the door and pushed it open. "Let me in and we will discu— "
"Henko, who is it?" Ivan's eyes shot past Henko and to the man standing behind him.
"Who the fuck is that?" Ivan almost growled out. Dante narrowed his eyes at Ivan as he spoke back.
"Who the fuck are you?" Henko knew he needed to stop this. He knew that once he opens his mouth that it would be all over for him and Ivan. He was still scared, but he knew this would be the best.
"He is my new boyfriend." Henko finally spoke out.
"Boy…friend?" The words left Ivan's lips slowly. "This man?" Henko looked at Ivan and nodded.
"We have been going out for some time now." Ivan began to growl.
"What the fuck. You are one hell of a whore."
"Who you calling a whore?" Dante yelled out.
"I will give you this one chance. Get rid of that man now." Ivan demanded.
What the hell is wrong with Ivan? Henko thought to himself. First the man comes into his apartment after not seeing him for several weeks. Then demands to Henko to leave the man he was currently with. Why would he do that? It's not like Ivan loved him or anything. Love. Henko thought. There was no way that Ivan loved him. He was just someone that he could fuck on the side. Someone that he didn't have to worry impregnating. Someone that he could easily toss to the side. So why? Why was he demanding that he get rid of Dante? All the questions swirled inside his head. Henko didn't know the answers too many of them, but there was one that he could answer.
"I will choose Dante." Henko spoke out. "You already have someone. So why don't you go back to them!" Henko voice raised with each word that came out.
"What the…." Ivan began to speak. "I don't understand what you are talking about." Henko couldn't stand this anymore. His heart felt like it was being torn to pieces. Henko couldn't stand being near Ivan anymore. The thought that he would be kissing and making love to someone else. He couldn't take it.
"I don't ever want to see you again. I will pay the money that is owed, but don't ever bother with me again!"
"Henko!" Ivan yelled back. Henko began to push Ivan backwards towards the door. The shock of the sudden action made Ivan stumble backwards. Before he knew it, he was in the hallway. Henko shut the door and locked it. He could hear Ivan yelling on the other side of the door. He was demanding an explanation, to open the door. Henko knew he couldn't open the door. It had to stay shut. The strength in Henko's legs began to give out. He slid down the door until he was sitting down. He so badly wanted to open the door and beg Ivan to stay with him, but knew he couldn't. His heart was breaking into pieces. Tears were falling down his face and he tried his best not to cry out. Holding a hand to his mouth, Henko tried not to let the sobs out. He didn't want anyone to see his pathetic side. Large hands pulled Henko into an embrace. He couldn't help but lean into the heat that held him. He loved Ivan so much. He knew that this was the right choice. He had to end it. There was no way he could be someone's second. Turning and sobbing into Dante's chest. Henko knew he was on the road to recovering. His heart would eventually heal. Yet right now, it hurt. It hurt so bad.
