In the brightly lit and breathtaking huge garden, a danger was lurking. The unsuspecting victim was occupied by his scattered thoughts, seeming about to fall in to the setting of a hapless victim.
Large vines slithered along the grass of the garden, camouflaged among it's greenery. The light mist in the air little by little, was slowly getting thicker. Jìang XiángShèn overcame is amusement at the sense of something being off. He straightened his spine, looked around vigilantly, and became slightly confused. He could be sure he felt something was off, but everything looked the same as before.
Jìang XiángShèn turned his head to look at the clusters of beautiful flowers behind him, and a click sounded in his mind. He realised that the flowers that were vibrant and lustrous in their multitudes of arrays were now less noticeable. Especially the ones further away.
'Why are the flowers harder to see?', he pondered.
When something caught his attention from the corner of his eye. He could see something moving and approaching him slowly amongst the grass. It's fleeting green colour and smooth like texture resembling that like a snake.
'Do snakes live in this garden?', Jìang XiángShèn wondered not entirely sure.
Whether true or not, Jìang XiángShèn decided it be best for him to just take the Zǐhuā spiritual plant and return back to Dì Xié Liàng's side. Snakes here, for him, would not be like the snakes on modern earth which, though poisonous, were smaller, and more found in zoo's where he lived. And he couldn't even be sure whether this snake that was slowly drawing closer towards him was the God-tier snake beast he told Dì Xié Liàng about.
'But I don't think it was green...?', he thought hesitantly.
Jìang XiángShèn turned his head back around, facing the Zǐhuā spiritual plant and cautiously but swiftly approaching, keeping in mind the continuously progressing 'snake'.
Jìang XiángShèn stood in front of the giant lotus shaped spiritual plant, at a total lost on what to do. He's a normal person from a completely normal civilization, and even if he had the tools or machinery for digging and uprooting giant lotuses, his job as a novelist doesn't have that in it's job description, so lacks that experience or even knowledge.
Saddened by his near yet far victory, Jìang XiángShèn was about to turn back around to leave and then have Dì Xié Liàng retrieve the plant, when a bright golden light reflected off the water to his eyes. Jìang XiángShèn was surprised at the sudden emergence of light, but followed his instincts and followed the stream of light to it's source. Jìang XiángShèn saw that the light was coming from the center of the giant lotus like flower and jumped slightly in order to see what it is.
At this moment, Jìang XiángShèn figured he wouldn't really be able to see anything. It's human instincts to always want to see what makes them curious. And even if jumping a little higher in order to have even the tinniest glimpses wouldn't really make someone spot anything or even see it properly, they still do it anyway. And Jìang XiángShèn is no different.
He made a light jump, not really confident to be able to bypass those giant flower petals that was surrounding it's center, when suddenly, Jìang XiángShèn realised that the lotus was coming closer. He was surprised and shocked at this marvel, since he figured that maybe the Zǐhuā spiritual plant was rooted in the pond. He was confused for a split second when he noticed that, it wasn't the Zǐhuā spiritual plant that was getting closer to him. It was he who was getting closer to the Zǐhuā spiritual plant!
Jìang XiángShèn's eyes widened in terror. He flailed his arms in a panic when he realised that his feet was off the ground and he was rapidly approaching the Zǐhuā spiritual plant. Jìang XiángShèn looked around flustered, hoping to find anything that could get him to stop when he spotted something floating with a golden luminescence in the middle of the the surrounding petals, exactly where he's heading!
Jìang XiángShèn couldn't see it properly, and he didn't know exactly what it was, but he had a gut feeling that this might be what Dì Xié Liàng needed so that he could absorb the Tree of Death, and break out from this Lost Forest by going to the Land of the Fallen! Jìang XiángShèn's glinted with excitement, eager to leave this Valley and the dangers in it. Jìang XiángShèn could see the the glowing thing getting closer and closer when--
Whoosh!
Wham!
Crash! Thud!
Something swerved rapidly towards Jìang XiángShèn and he instinctively covered his face when he felt a heavy whipping sting across his crossed arms, and he flew out from the Zǐhuā spiritual plant, crashing into a giant boulder and dropping to the ground.
Jìang XiángShèn stayed on laying on his face flat on the ground, disoriented and confused, and questioning life.
He slowly got up on his knees, looking on his arms to see whip-like bruises on both hands that had him breaking out in a cold sweat. He could bet that if those whips had hit his sensitive neck, it would have most likely been broken, and he would be dead now.
Jìang XiángShèn stood up and looked around, trying to spot what exactly could've attacked him, when he saw whip-like vines swaying menacingly in the air rooted in the ground. Jìang XiángShèn's body broke out in goosebumps when he saw the large clusters of swaying vines. His arms felt numb from the attack and his head felt dizzy.
'Sh*t! I'm in trouble', he thought in anguish.
***Meantime**
There was the crunching sounds of branch breaking and trees crashing throughout the Lost Forest. Two fast moving silhouettes were seen speeding through the forest, attacking each other at a speed invisible to the naked eye. A blood-red energy and a light yellow energy swirled vigorously and violently in the air, blowing away leaves and rattling trees. The person's surrounded by energy had a bloodthirsty aura emanating from them, the intent to kill present. They kept violently attacking each other without rest with the intent to completely obliviate their enemy.
Dì Xié Liàng's energy was getting more and more red, so red it looked unreal. His dark obsidian eyes were becoming redder than blood, tears of blood flowing down his face.
An attestation of falling.
