Meredith strolls around the fitting room, admiring the luxurious and elegant dresses neatly displayed on the stand. She checks every corner of the room, feeling grateful that she now works at de le Victoria. The mere thought of it brings a smile to her face. Suddenly, her thoughts are interrupted by a voice asking, "Oh wow?"
"It's our new designer for de le Victoria," Gabby grins as she claps walking towards Meredith to give her a congratulatory hug.
"Hello, Gabby so nice to see you," Meredith smiled returning the hug.
"Yes same here, I just saw what you did to Marisa, oh wow girl you are something else," Gabby grins.
"You think I was too hard on her?" Meredith whispers. The harm was already done but did hope she wasn't in any kind of trouble. zia clearly told her everyone worshipped her at the company. well, she wasn't the kind of person who worshipped people.
"Hard on her? Hump forget about her, she has given a lot of people enough hard times than this. I'm just happy she's finally gotten her march," Mark mumbled with a smile on his face.
"I didn't mean to come strong at her but it was the only way to make her understand there was no way they could have changed the design again," Meredith explained now feeling guilty she overdid it.
"You don't have to explain girl you did what needed to be done and if she doesn't agree I'm sure the whole team would have been in trouble," Mark hissed, having long prayed for a day like this. He couldn't hide his excitement not only Mark but almost everyone in the company couldn't stand the diva queen.
"Oh yeah you have a point," Gabby grins.
"Meredith I'm so glad you are here now at least there's someone to put these divas in their place," Jim mumbled as everyone laughed.
Meredith grins as Eddie and Matthew just watch her in a daze.
"Hey, Eddie and Matthew won't you guys say anything?" Gabby rumbles as she turns over in their direction.
"Wow Meredith you were awesome a while ago, that was so impressive. When I heard you would be working with her, I was afraid she was going to give you a hard time but as I can see you can really handle her, impressive," Eddie giggled with his thumbs-up in the air.
Matthew smirked and quietly left the room as everybody wondered why he was quiet. His opinion doesn't matter to Meredith anyway. Meredith's first day at the company wasn't an easy task.
She had to oversee every single preparation made for the new collection launch. It was going to be her first launch in the company and she has less than 72 hours to pull that off.
"Ma'am, here are the models selected," one of the team members Tatiana said showing her a file.
"Thanks," Meredith replied studying the models carefully. She gave a few suggestions and asked them to change them.
"Let the model in the middle walk the runway after Marisa, and let this one follow in that order," she instructed.
"Yes ma'am, I will have that done right away," Tatiana whispered.
"Thank you, Tatiana Please stop calling me ma'am, Meredith is fine," Meredith grins as she has reminded them 5 times already since the team resumed from the short break she gave them.
Tatiana hits her head with her hand because she keeps forgetting that little part. "Sorry, Ma'am... um Meredith Ma'am...geez," she pouts as she finds it hard as Meredith smiles and turns to review the files in front of her.
"Oh Miss Meredith we have a big problem," Michael the only guy among the team of 4 cries running to Meredith's table.
The desperation and nervousness were evident in his voice. "This must be a big problem then," Meredith whispers. "Okay calm down and talk Michael," Meredith whispers.
"Oh no we are finished, you need to see for yourself," he said pulling Meredith away with him to the cutting room. She could barely keep up with him in her heels, "Okay slow down Michael," Meredith whispered.
"Sorry Meredith but you will have to see this," Michael said as they entered the cutting room only then was he able to exhale the breath he didn't know he was holding.
Meredith was nervous and anxious the most important fabric for the event was destroyed. "What do we do now?" Everyone holds their faces.
Meredith quietly stares at the fabric. The design has already been approved now the guy cutting the fabric made a mistake.
"None of us is going to have our jobs after this," Lucy sobs holding her head.
"I'm so sorry I panicked and the scissors just went straight through it," the guy in charge of the cutting groans. Everyone except Meredith yells and curses at him because the fabric cannot be replaced.
"Show me the original design?" She ordered everyone there knowing there was no way out. Meredith gazes at the design as she went silent for a while. She carefully calculated a way out of the mess they were in.
She smirked when she figured out a way to turn the mistake into a new design, not far from the original design.
"Step aside please, you have done a good job," Meredith whispers as she stands in front of the cutting table and starts to cut out her new design. Everyone stares at her anxiously. Her calculated steps and skill blew them away. Everyone was awed as she finished cutting the fabric.
"Wow, Miss Meredith you saved all our heads," Michael grins letting out a sigh.
"You are a genius, Meredith," Tatiana mumbled.
"Alright everyone, I know you are all tired. This is the final and most important dress for the event so I will personally stitch the cut-out patterns myself. We will continue the preparation tomorrow," she whispered dismissing everyone.
Meredith always likes to work in a quiet environment. It was late but she refused to leave until she was done.

"Is Meredith gone already we could have some dinner together?" Gabby asked Mark.
"Uh, hey you, do you know if Miss Meredith has already left the office?" Mark asked a lady coming out from the design department.
"No she is still in there," the lady hissed. On their way, they heard from some of the staff how Meredith saved the day by creating a masterpiece out of a ruined fabric.
"Oh wow, she never seems to stop amazing me. We just met her but like I've known her forever," Mark grins.
"Yes, I feel the same way. Come on, let's leave her alone for tonight," Gabby proposed as they turned back and left. Matthew couldn't leave her alone and decided to wait for her so he could give her a ride to the apartment, he gave an excuse for the rest to carry on leaving him behind.
Meredith heard a knock, she went to the door and found no one but a cup of hot coffee.
"Oh, wow how thoughtful, I was thirsty," Meredith whispers and grabs the coffee and sips it.
"Thank you, my guardian angel," she grins as she sips the coffee again. Matthew hides behind the door and grins when he hears her calling him an angel. He couldn't explain why he was protective of her all of a sudden.
