After the call with Toni ended, Amani sat down on a sofa and started thinking back to their conversation.
'I'm sorry Miss Amani but the boss is not at home at the moment. He had an emergency that he had to travel out of the country to attend to.'
Amani was angry but she laughed humorlessly. She couldn't believe what she just heard Toni said
'Leonardo traveled out of the country without telling her about it! He said he cared for her, yet he couldn't let her know that he was traveling! What sort of emergency did he have? How difficult could it be for him to just pick up his phone and inform her? Even if he couldn't call her, couldn't he ask his assistant to tell her on his behalf... And yet he claimed to care for her
"Bull shit!" She said to herself when she recalled another of Toni's words...
'I just want you to know that he would have called you if he could...'
