Amani felt a sick feeling in her stomach when she heard Leonardo say he liked her but he didn't just want them to rush things between them.
Why was he always saying that? She wondered. If he liked her half as much as he claimed then why couldn't they make their relationship official? The only reason she could think of that she felt could be holding him back from taking another step further with her was his girlfriend
If he liked his girlfriend that much then what does that make her? She was his side chick? She thought when she realized she had made herself into what she promised a long time ago she wouldn't let another man turn her into.
"You don't want us to rush things, because of your girlfriend right?" Amani asked and saw how his eyes widened in surprise
She laughed then
"What? You don't think I've forgotten about the girlfriend that was so important to you, you warned me not to breathe if there was any chance of her hearing me, do you?"
