"I came to apologize to him. I messed him up, and I realized that. I believe that we can talk through this and get past it," Liz said apologetically.
Angie was coyly smiling while Carey was so tense one would think he would urinate on himself.
"That is possible. You two can talk it over. Can I get you anything?" Angie asked politely, and Liz shook her head.
"I insist. You're my visitor. I can't let you just leave. Water, coffee, or tea?" Angie insisted, and after thinking for a while, Liz settled on cold water.
Angie walked to the kitchen, and Liz and Carey were left alone in the room. Carey was throwing hateful daggers at Liz. He was asking himself why she had decided to come back when he was with Angie and plotting against Karen.
"Listen, I don't need your apology. I have better things to work on other than mending a relationship that wasn't meant to be in the first place," Carey said.
